Here are some nice touches that I found whilst playing GT4 during the last day or so.

<SNIP>

More new features covered as and when I have time…

WOW... That's AcE news mate !.... I think the SLR challenge and the "Run what you Brung" sounds wicked sweet !... (And I can use the 3 minutes in the SLR challenge to make coffee - that's what I used to do when it was loading in GT3 anyway :grumpy: )

[edit]
Speaking of which, has anyone asked about loading times yet ?...

Thanks for the updated info Chaser_fan , keep it coming ;) the more I read the more the anticpation builds and those various new modes sound great :)

I'm really looking forward to spending some time on the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit as it is the best in the World and I'll be visting it IRL this year on next and seeing what times I can squeeze out of my WRX PPP.

Only pikes peak can come close as far as motoring heaven goes but is it in GT4? as all the courses from previous GT games were to be included in GT4 but I can't recall seeing Pikes Peak on any lists

but why you have to wait ALL the 3 minutes???..it´s a bit stupid cause in GT4P for example there was a similar test:
you started with the Mc laren F1 GTR (LT) with about 200km/h on the Fuji start-finish-line and you had to overtake that first car which was (i think )2 minutes in front of you and it was a Toyota GT-One!(what a "big mistake" for PD,heh?nrmally the R390 is that fast!)
well it wasn´t that dificult cause Fuji isn´t sooOOO complex and DIFFICULT as the "GREEN HELL" and i can imagine that driving with A RACE MC LAREN IS MUCH EASIER THAN DRIVING WITH A "STREET" MC LAREN SLR!!!

Photomode Live! – Particularly great feature this one. Drive your car around the circuit in a particulary aesthetically pleasing manner then exit and replay your lap. Fast forward to the correct part by pressing L3 (that is the left analogue stick button, right?) and then press SELECT. Now a whole host of photography options appear. Set up the shot just right then press the shutter and post the picture on GTP. Simple. Now someone buy me a USB memory device!

• What it mean 'correct part'? There is only a part of the track that can be displayed in high res?
Another question:
• Tell me if I'm right... so all the tracks can be used in Photomode?
• Someone know if that USB MAX Drive (of datel I think) can be used too to transfer pictires on the PC?

Thanx :)

Hey since we've heard so much about the USB sticks and being able to use them in gT4 , i was wondering if anyone has askesd/ answered

"How do you use the stick"

- Do you just plug it in and it automatically takes a screen shot
- Do you have to press a button and it saves to the USB
- Do you save to your memory card and then transfer to the USB

Whats the D1 FC look like? Do you by any chance know whose it is? There isn't really any major FCs in D1, except Drift Samurai, but he never really places high.

In addition to this, has anybody tried plugging in a MP3 player that runs off USB? So basically, does GT4 + PS2 = USB Storage Host Device?

I've got an iRiver iHP-140 with 40 GB of space - would be great for storing photos when GT4 actually arrives in the US!

But what did the scale mean which you could move left (-) or right (+). My girlfriend said it was something to do with the speed of the cars, but it seems the key characters were in Japanese not Chinese so I'm none the wiser.

I plugged my CF card reader into the PS2 via a USB cable and put in a 64mb card into the reader. Initially, the PS2 didn't detect the hardware, but when I went to save a photo (and a rather tasty one at that) the power on the CF reader came on and it began to save the image. A third of the way up the saving progress scale it stopped and flashed up an error message.

Not entirely, no. I will definately have to get myself something else.

What time is it in Hong Kong? Your usually on during the late day-evening times over here.

Hmmm - could it have been a power issue? Like the USB port on the PS2 wasn't giving enough power to the card reader, so it glitches?

Man, need to find somebody in Seattle or Vancouver who's got the import... :)

Thanks for the try, chaser_fan, and thanks for all the info you've posted so far!

So there's

Group run (Run what ya brung), Free run, Family cup, Photodrive and Race....

I wonder why that pic only has 4 icons though. Unless Hyde is confusing Family cup for Race?

It's my luck break - 1300. You're up late/awake early!

Yep, it's 05:00AM over here. I couldn't sleep and when it hit 4 I thought whats the point and made myself a coffee.

LOL - that's not crazy. Staying up 72 hours is crazy. :)
