GT4 Online

I know this as proably been done before and people might get a little pissy but i apologize ahead of time, But what do you guys think about going online with GT4...

1) Do you think there will be a website with rakings, Tournaments, clans/ groups etc..
2) How well of a job do you think PD will do with the online portion of it?
3) Do you think we'll be able to use modded cars or just stock cars like arcade mode?
4) Which car do you think you'll use first and or most online and what SN will you use or think about useing...
5) If PD uses the HDD what do you wish we could DL.. (Cars, Rims, Tires erc...)

Just a few things to think about and pretty much discuss whatever about online mode.... I know we dont know much about it and nothing has been reveiled with in depth preview on the whole online idea, except all we know is that PD is supposedly fixing things with it right now, but anyways what do you guys think...

Online rankings are a MUST.
Modded cars are a must too, but you must be able to view your opponents cars mods, or have the race host set things like "no mods" etc. Racing for pink slips would be cool!

And I'ma gonna kick all your asses! hehe

1) Very likely since it practically happens with previous GT's anyway but if GT4 has online capability this should be alot better.
2) PD should hopefully make pretty stable netcode that should be as good if not better than netcode in your average PC online racer, after all they don't have to worry about incompatibilies as much.
3) I would have thought both, but probably when someone hosts a race you can choose the types of cars, HP restrictions, stock or modded etc...
4) I'll probably use Volvos just to be different (if there in) & ofc I like em, might use same alias as on GTP, I dunno people might get confused if I don't drive a Volvo 850
5) Doubt this will happen but we can hope!

Oh well I guess everyone wants everything in GT4 so im just hopeing for the best, I dunno which SN i'll use, this one kinda sucks but I most likely will end up useing it anyways just so you guys could reconize me lol, but who knows I might pick a mysterious name and beat anyone whos not on the look out

I think the races should be set up exactly like the single player races. Ala race limits. Heck the carrer mode should be exactly the same online. One can only dream.

I just read that game informer has confirmed that used cars will be in gt4 and the game will utilize the HDD so good news for us heh.Aslo sony will hold tournemts and is building a gt4 community through pre-race lobbies and more

Thats great news. Personally I'll be using the same user name as I am here, so you all know who's just beat you by 2 laps, lol. No really, I'll be using this user name but if the guys in Division 1 in the weekly races here are anything to go by, competition will be very tough.

Hey congrats on your 300th post, i got my 300th today but anyways, do you have a link to a site where you got that info by any chance? if not its cool, I really hope they use the HDD since they want to make GT4 the flagship online game for the PS2 why not let it be the game to be useing the new HDD the most, like useing your own music, or DL cars or tracks, then GT4 would rule all

True, i'd just rather race/drift/tool about with some people here. I'm not really into online gaming in a big way.

I have a few online games but im not really into the online portion, but with GT4 i'll deff be racing online, But maybe more or less with people on here if they wanna race, atleast I know some people on here will give you a run for your money...

I'm not interested in the online side of things because I don't think the system is efficent enough yet.PS3...maybe.The most frustrating thing is that apparently the online part of GT4 is whats causing the delays.Just my opinion,flame at will,i'm thick skined.
