GT4 Photomode Rally Competition Week 3

Congratulations to treefingers on a very decisive win in week 1. For those that missed it, here's the picture that he entered.



Very good picture indeed.

And with that let's look at the theme he has chosen for Week 3.

This week's Theme: A Skiing Trip

Any 4 DOOR PRODUCTION VEHICLE AT CHAMONIX. So dig out the family vehicle and let's go skiing.

ENTRY DEADLINE IS JUNE 4 AT MIDNIGHT CDT (GMT -7)

The rules (very simple).....

1. ONLY photomode pictures will be accepted. NO Photoshop, Photosuite or any other kind of enhancements allowed. If your picture is found to be enhanced by ANY other means than what is available within GT4, your entry will be voided.

2. Use only your own pictures. If the picture you enter is found to be someone else's, your entry will be voided.

3. After you've taken you're best picture, get it hosted by Imageshack. Here's a link to upload your picture to generate the thumbnail link that will be provided by Imageshack....

Attach a link to your picture using the one provided by Imageshack (Forum 1) AND also attach your picture AND your user ID to an email and submit it to:

(If you do not know how to attach a picture to your email, please contact me and I'll do my best to help. But most of the time your email provider will have step by step instructions on how to do this) PLEASE make sure that you have the Imageshack thumbnail link AND a copy of your picture AND your user ID attached to this email. The thumbnail link will be used if your picture is chosen to be in the Top 20 to be voted on in a poll posted after the entry deadline. IF EITHER ONE OF THE ATTATCHMENTS OR YOUR USER ID IS MISSING FROM YOUR EMAIL YOUR ENTRY WILL BE NULL AND VOID.

4. If your first entry IS NOT A VALID ENTRY you will be notified as to what is invalid about your entry and you will have ONE more chance to enter. If you submit a subsequent entry that still does not follow the entry criteria for that week you will be notified why your entry is invalid however, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED A THIRD CHANCE.

5. ONLY ONE VALID ENTRY PER WEEK PER PERSON. ONCE A VALID ENTRY HAS BEEN RECIEVED IT MAY NOT BE CHANGED.

6. In the spirit of fairness, you MAY NOT post your ENTRY in a thread of any kind until AFTER the winner has been selected. If your ENTRY is found on any threads on the board during the entry and/or voting period, your entry will be voided even if it's in the Top 20. If you think you need help in choosing your entry please do so by using the PM (private message) feature here on the board.

7. A system will be used in which the winner of a each week's competition will choose the theme and Top 20 for the next week's competition however, the winner WILL NOT be allowed to re-enter the competition untill the following week. The Top 20 entries will be placed in a poll to select that week's winner by you and your peers.

8. ONLY competition entries will be accepted at this email address:

Better theme than last week. I won't wait until last minute to send in my entry so when I forget my username I can add it.

I realize it says car, but can we use an SUV?
 
uhm, aren't most of the SUVs in this game 2 door? [if not all of them?]
 
Submitted mine :) Surprised I missed this competition the first 2 weeks. It was fun. I spent a couple of hours driving around the car I used on the pic I submitted, because it turned out being such a great car.

Doesn't matter. The theme is "four door vehicle". If a two door anything is submitted it doesn't count. So whether or not the SUV's are two door or not is irrelevant.
 
the land-rover is a 2 door.. google it. unless you count the fact that they split in half to create a step?
 
To SUV or not to SUV...............

I've checked all the manufacturers and the used cars available to me at this point on my game "date". And these are the "SUV's" that I've found that could be eligible for this comp........

The Ininiti FX-45....the model shown in the New Cars section shows it has four doors but only has two door handles. So I suppose the back two doors open from the inside.

The Mazda MX Crossport.

And the Audi Pikes Peak.

I personally don't count the vehicles that look like a bigger version of a Honda City as an SUV. And then of course there are the mini-van types that look like a glorified station wagon.

Anyway, what it all boils down to is that the vehicle that is the subject of your entry must have four doors and be a production model. I'll let treefingers make the call whether or not Concept cars will be allowed or not.
 
Just to warn you in advance, in case there's some fluke and I win, i'm gonna be on vacation from June 3rd to June 12th..
 
Well we're doing a lot better this week than last week. The number of entries is up and I'm hoping so is the intertest level. If you have tried some of the other comps, I'm sure you'll have just as much fun with this one. So, dig out your 4 door vehicle, strap the skis to the roof and head over to Chamonix, take some awesome pictures and send them in. You never know YOUR picture may be the favorite one of all.
