Fuji Speedway 2005 (with chicane) -13 laps (Forwards)

Race Rules
NO B-Spec!
Arcade mode
Weight penalties, results-based
No Power changes
Any tyre combination allowed
Strong Tire Wear
Rev Limiter penalty system (same as rallies/missions)
Driving aids Optional
Points for race: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 (pre 2010 F1 scoring)
Try to keep at least 2 wheels on Tarmac/Rumble strips
(For this round, within the white lines that form the circuit. You are NOT allowed to use the tarmac on the outside of the track)

Another very close round, with 30 seconds covering the field!

Congrats to DKLion3s on another win! Bounced back after last round!

And this round saw the return of n1nj4ofshr3d, and he's already into the podium!

And personally, I did not expect to go so well, but I felt fast

Well, with that win DK heads the table by a victory, but perhaps the Green Hell will unsettle the Takata Dome NSX as we saw at the Trial Mountain. We shall wait and see

NOTE: Nurburgring is 4 laps, and an extra week is given to the due date, due to the longer round

This is looking like a total domination of DTM and JGTC's. Thanks granturismite for using my time so late. I'll try to get it in by Sunday nights from now on:tup: Btw, congrats for making podium.
I grinded Fuji all week, and I felt great. DKLion3s, thanks for making this a huge challenge. Everyone should start practicing the 'ring, because I will.

Bugger!!! I crashed my car yesterday, enough so that it is now illegal to drive (no front indicators). I feel so damn stupid for rear-ending someone at a t-intersection

I now have that to worry about too, so I think I won't be practicing the 'ring, and as such will probably come last
 
Whow, sorry to hear that granturismite. Definitely a bad luck!

Congratulations to the top drivers. I've been finishing in 6th place for what, 2 or 3 weeks already and I think I'm not making improvements, and already passed by Fogbound in the standing. I'm also the only running Audi A4 in the series.

Either my driving or the car is not doing well, hoping for the best in the Nurburgring and probably my only chance to shine. Good Luck all!!! :cheers:
 
CONGRATS to ALL! Very sorry to hear of your real life incident granturismite. :indiff: I was about to PM you last night as I was worried about the delay posting results. Now I know the reason.

OBSERVATION: Since I've already completed my run @ the Ring & it's my day off, I decided to run a little test. Except for one of the Missions, I'd never driven the Takata Dome car before. I race Sims except for this series & have never been able to tame the NSX's handling woes w/chassis tuning. I set it up like my Astra for Fuji & reeled off 13 laps. WOW! What a difference! The extra weight meant I had to brake earlier but the difference in handling & power is quite noticeable. Equaled my time on the very first try withOUT drafting! [Even @ 10 I easily got around all the AI during the first lap. Re-set several times but couldn't find a faster line-up.] Not sure what this all means but thought I'd share anyway.

Will check in on you all while I'm out of town & be back in time for SS Rte5.

Well dang Granturismite, what are you? The dang jinx magnet! Atleast you walked away from it, luckily. Best of wishes getting it sorted and back on your feet.

Wasn't expecting a win on this one, considering my last run at the Mountain, guess I got a nice boost with weight penalty (-1%) this round.

Congrats n1nj4ofshr3d & granturismite at the podium. E RaK! That was definitely unexpected of you, seeing you took the last round.

At first look, I thought you were talking about crashing in Nurburgring. I didn't realize it was real. Sorry to hear that. I guess the people there are just as bad as in Ohio. Speeding accidents, texting, and more speeding.
 
Looks like about US $1700 in repair costs. Will your insurance take care of it? Or will you be footing the costs of repair?

Almost looks as if the radiator got smacked too?

HA!! :lol: Funny because it happend just outside the university campus I go to, and the fasion at the moment is tights.

Its all cosmetic damage. The only thing broken is the bonnets (or hoods) over-zealous release mechanism. we decided that the car was not going to be repaired, as registration was coming up at the end of the month, and it would cost at least $1500 AUD to get it re-registered, especially with insurance because I'm in the worst bracket for insurance (17-25yr old men)

Gave it to a charity oganisation that shows troublesome youths how to do mechanic stuff, so they can get jobs
 
I like the fact that the winner of the last round was bottom of the table for this one, shows we've got a pretty good field, and that the weight penalty's do seem to even things out.

Hard luck with the fender bender Granturismite, maybe your speed in GT4 is inversely proportional to your luck on the road?
