I've had an EB preorder since August. They said Jan. 7 first as a temporary date. Whose to say this isn't just another "placeholder" date? As far as I knew, it was still officially TBA 2004.
 
The release date for GT4 is sometime after April 2004. TV shows and magazines that talk about GT4 say Summer 2004.

The official GT4 web site had 2004 as the date, but it changed recently to December 2003 with "Prologue" in the description, which we all know is some kind of mistake.
 
People. Honestly. We all want it to come out as soon as possible. But I've said it before and I'll say it now:
GT4 will get here when it gets here.
So why bother obsessing about it? It can't help your blood pressure and ulcers any.

Isn't this a rumor & speculation board? Isn't it ok to SPECULATE when the game is coming out according to RUMORS you might've heard in the RUMORS & SPECULATION board????

But, see, here's the problem Mr Majin SSJ Eric: when the members who think they know something about release date post something like 'early January', it raises the hopes of the 11-year-old members. The truth is, video games, especially of this magnitude are routinely delayed, so there's no point speculating - in reality, none of us know when it's going to come out. In the end, Duke's advice is best - it'll get here when it gets here.
 
Thanks, Doug. That's my point. Even if the up-to-the-minute information says that it will be released on April 30, 2004, there are 167 days until that point. Each and every one of those days is a new opportunity for the projected release date to change, usually for the longer.

You believe that EB know the date and PD don't, cos if EB are right as you believe then the Spring - summer 04 date that PD have projected must be wrong. Can this topic end now.

Who told you they got it from PD, cos thats bull, loads of shops say they get the dates from the publishers and they are different in most of the shops as well.Trus me, it's not coming out before Febuary 04, probably March.
 
how many of you remember GT3 coming out when it was supposed to? I seem to recall it getting put back several times so it was something like 6 months after the original ship date. In fact, I think GT3 was intended to be released ehn the PS2 launched.
Some stores will give you a date earlier than others just to get people to pre-order. Don't believe them. As the man said, Gran Turismo 4 will be released when it's released. That's when I'll buy it!
 
God this place is full of Morons. This thread has NO speculation. None.

The info I posted is from the offcial EB Games website. As many of you know, EB Games is a large software and gaming retailer. So, in my opinion, their "official" release date is valid information, at least for now.

Will it charge?? Possibly. But that does not change the fact that this retailer is providing this date as the official release date. That information is of interest to some.

If you cannot deal with that, then go to another thread. But please quit mouthing off in this one. OF COURSE we will all wait till it comes out. We don't need to be reminded that we must wait by some annoying online 12 year olds with superiority complexes.
