Congrats to the usual suspects for winning their respective divisions, Hugo Boss, Sjaak68 & DJ Baker. The handicap system seems to have worked slightly better after giving Division 3 more HP than last time, and DJ Baker made the most of it and pushed up to 5th place overall with only .372 behind the top lap time. 👍 👍

Quick guide to replay checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing Super Softs and that the power is (468 div1) (486 div2) (522 div3) hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle

Congrats to all the winners.

With more time I could have gotten to 1'50.xxx but that would have only moved me up one place.

Quick guide to replay checking:

1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Sports - Softs and that the power is (468 div1) (486 div2) (522 div3) hp

Shouldn't that be Racing Super-Softs?

Congrats Hugo, outstanding performance as always but I know Ron was right there with you.👍 Jerry great job as always, nice combo.

Also to all the golds this week great job

Nice turnout in Div III this week:tup: 👍 👍

wow i didn't do as bad as i thought and well done to all that got gold because there was some unbelieve times you guys were putting down. Great job everyone 👍

Mercedes CLK Touring Car ‘00 @ Autumn Ring Mini
another typo spot if that's ok jerry (LOL) because i thought we have been running @ suzuka circuit rather than autumn ring :sly:

otherwise congratulations to all golds and to jerry for setting up an excellent handicap race. maybe next time include compound differences to make the division gaps even smaller 👍

well on to midfield now in the tank of an opel omega in which they spooned a lotus engine.

Well this is bad news. My MaxDrive has always had the problem of never working if I only plug it in, because it always needs to be tilted either up or down for either the PS2 or my laptop to recognize it. But now, it doesn't seem to be recognizing it at all. Hopefully I can figure a way to sort it out and post my replay. Has anyone else had this type of problem? Any info as to if/how you might have fixed it would be appreciated.

Sounds like you may have to open it up and check whether there is a small break in one of the contacts to the board, if so solder it and it will be fine 👍

Excellent showing for the podiums this week, and I'm especially marking DJ Baker as having a great lap and overcoming the .7 I had over him at T2. 👍👍 Worthy Adversary, indeed. Can't wait for the next one. :)

Cheers,
Corey

Great laps from Hugo, Sjaak and DJBaker and Well Done for the division wins 👍 Congrats to everyone else for some close racing also

Here's my .max replay and video for scrutiny ..

Cheers
Ron.

That's insane Ron. I used the brake a lot more than you on that one, and I overlapped it with full-throttle, which killed my speed now that I have seen your lap. Looks incredibly smooth and accurate. You make it look so easy....

Yeah....thanks for showing me every single mistake I made! I was taking the esses all wrong, the right handers before T1 wrong, and the lefts before the T2 straightaway wrong. I was kickin' it in the hairpin and down into turn one though-let me reach around and pat myself on the back.....:ouch:

Once again Ron gives a Masters Class and I'd be willing to bet you could take Hugo's replay and it would be darn near a carbon copy save 3 hundreths!! Bravo.

I've been having the same trouble for the last month or so. Simply sticking the cap under the end of the Max Drive has worked well in the PS2, but it's been real hit & miss in my laptop. Fortunately, I got it to work again this week...

NTSC replay attached.

Great racing everyone! 👍

Hi King,
What happend in the last sector?
Seems you lost about 4 seconds there considering your t2 time.

Congrats to all podium winners 👍 I only had 1 quick session this week and my time shows.

As for the max drives problems... we had the same problem, it completely stopped working and was advised by Small Fryz to try out a usb stick of any kind or digi camera/mp3 player... tried a couple of cameras, a usb dongle, and 2 mp3 players one of which worked a treat! and we've been using that ever since.
Try out any other usb memory sticks that you might have, so long as the disc is working it will take not any but some other form of mem stick 👍

Wait wait wait wait wait....WHAT??!? How did you record the file? I didn't think there was an option to save the replay through the USB port to begin with.....and there isn't..right?? I have a 256mb Flash Drive device in which I converted all my photomode pictures. Tell me more.

Cheers,
Corey

Well Jetboy, even with a usb drive you still need the ar max or max drive disc to manipulate the save data, so get the disc mate 👍

Like Arora said, you still need to have the disc for another flash drive to work.

Congrats to all gold runners

I'm glad you didn't gave it another try, Ron! With that stunning T1 split I thought you were gonna give it another try and beat your own time by 2 tenths :scared: But thanks for being generous :sly:

Super time from Sjakie 👍 You're getting closer and closer to Div1 speed, whether you want it or not!

I won't be coming close to my PS2 the coming days, so I can't upload my replay before somewhere next week...

See, this was what I never understood about it: How you guys were getting it converted. Well, now I know. Is the disc through the PS2 or is it for computer software to trtansfer the file? Thank you, chaps. :)

Cheers,
Corey

Well I have an a.r. max and it came with two discs, one for the ps2 and one for the pc. I use the disc for the ps2 it has a memory manager program. the disc for the pc I never touched. So you simply save the replay or whatever game data you want to the usb drive, then just plug it into a pc and send the file away........

....awesome. I'm glad it's that simple. 👍 Once again, thank you.

Cheers,
Corey

Corey,
