Quick guide to replay checking:

  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing - Soft and that the power is 243 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle

Well done to all the winners this week, this was a true test of consistency. My best laps stitched together could've got me another second overall but how you guys do 4:03 and lower is beyond me.

My five year old son, after watching me wipe out repeatedly trying to push that first corner in T1 to the max summed it up quite well. "Daddy, maybe you should take some driving lessons" :) Seemingly a trend for me was the first two sectors were good then not so good in the last. At one point I had T1 down pat, running 37.6xx and 24.5xx but couldn't find a clue in the T2 tunnel. Then I got the tunnel sorted and lost the plot on T1.

Never mind, another week another race ... this should be amusing, I really can't do dirt.

I have already verified Hugo's replay and made a video over the weekend as we both had already submitted .. Well done on a spotless drive with optimum speed mate :cheers:

I wont be posting a video this week myself as I thought it best to make a video of a far superior race as you will see when Hugo posts his video ..( I could post it myself but its not really my place ... You will have to wait until he gets back on GTP ;) )

Wow! can't believe I won :D

Congrats all other podium places and to overall winner Hugo, stunning time!

That was a close race there Erik, and Jake too... we all practically crossed the line together :crazy:

Congrats to all this week, those last few tenths were elusive, great to see all the participation in a multi-lapper.

Strop, your experience with this combo was similar to mine, as consistency was hard to find. I ran many laps and splits that were quicker than my final, but could never assemble a full run. Sector 2 was especially brutal. Can't wait to see the corner speeds Hugo carries, nice run there.

Haha, dangit, yeah! đź‘Ťđź‘Ť Well done keeping the lead there man, I was hoping for a snag, but not quite!

A flying time for everyone in the podiums, Hugo, MasterP, and Mike(I was rootin for ya!), Kelly, way to hold down the fort and show you've still got what it takes.

And hey, a win in D3 is a damn well earned win. Tis' a shame there wasn't much participation in that division this week, but I totally understand why. It would've been a good week to learn how to drive FWD cars though!

Thanks guys & gal! It was a great race. I really enjoy multilappers and at Midfield I always seem to find a good pace. Nice choice, Sjaak :sly:

Congrats to Ron & Mike for filling up the podium. Flying times as always and almost breaking the 4'03 barrier đź‘Ť
Also a nice win from Kelly, by keeping Erik just behind. Congrats to both ;)

Well guys thats my lot with video's posted đź‘Ť ... week after week I post video's for my own laps as well as other people's and to be honest I am pig sick of the ignorant gits amongst you that take no time whatsoever to comment or even a thumbs up to the effort the driver has made to get the lap done .. also the amount of time it takes making and uploading these video's for total ignorance :grumpy:

Youtube has a section where you can rate / comment on said video's but out of the last 30 weeks of video's I have posted on youtube and some have been viewed nearly 70 plus times .. not one member here at GTP has had the decency to post one comment or a rating until today when one of Hugo's devoted fans rated Hugo's replay with no comment đź‘Ž ( I mean this replay was viewed 19 times within a couple of hours! )

Call me childish and say what you will but enoughs enough and I would like to thank all the ignorant bastards for taking the time to view all the replays :)đź‘Ť

A few have made comments in the threads and this post is in no way directed towards them ;)

Enjoy the last vid I ever post guys because I wont waste my time again :cheers:

Steven - I nomally do post my splits during the week, if I am on pace and they will be helpful. This week, I did not have much time until Sunday and I made 3 seconds of overall progress on Sunday night. I posted my splits when I submitted. I'm not sure if there was much else I could do, outside of posting slow splits that would probably have made you feel comfortable about yours.

I understand your concern, and I will make an effort to give everyone a read as soon as I can in the future.

Have had the same happen to me on some weeks, and usuallly look at D2 times to help guide me.

Not directed at anyone personally like a singular bastard .. more a bunch of ignorant bastards :sly: I have seen you comment on some of the video's I have posted in the past anyway Strop so you were not even in the firing line.

My main point is basically people like myself and Jerry for example post the video's to cater for the region problem PAL v NTSC and I applaud anyone who does it week in week out like I have been doing because after some time it gets tedious when nobody comments on the replay or the bother to upload and deliver.
It eventually took its toll on my patience and today I let off steam as I have been making and uploading these replays on a regular basis for the last 7 months totalling 48 replays and the replies / comments are really welcome but are also very thin on the water .. I probably let loose a little too harsh as i gave no hints that they were expected as a part of the agreement for me posting them! I just had enough of virtually wasting my time for people who take it for granted and dont spare 1 minute to tap some keys in the form of a reply.

The vids are a thing of the past for me now and after this weeks rally event so is the WRS and my Mr P username .. I have been on this forum for 6 years now and times are changing so much and I prefer the good old days to be honest đź‘Ť

Dismiss my rant above as the ramblings of an old timer who has been here so long he went totally mad with it .. and I will probably catch some of you's down the road in the future, But the ignorant bastards can just take the other road I hope :sly: đź‘Ť

Take it easy WRS you were a damn good ride old girl .. and you had me banging away at you for a good few years! here's to a new ERA with GT5 :cheers:

I never post replays for gratitude dumb ass! .. but thats not to say that comments were never welcome! You never seem to grasp what I post and what should make this any different :dopey:

I wont be leaving GTP and I never said I would .. a simple name change and an end to racing in the WRS will suffice, there is activity outside of the WRS section believe it or not! .. I think there will be plenty outside of the OLR section to keep me visiting GTP.

I never mentioned Kelly in any of my posts and I cant speak for her!

GT5 will be online and thats hopefully were the future of racing will be .. WRS will be a pale comparison in all honesty, not to say I dont appreciate the time I have spent competing in it over the years .. I was there in the WRS's very first race and have enjoyed my time immensley!

I will still be around, just not racing OLR :)

I will still submit 127 as I have a save already.

Hope this is ok with everyone :sly: ... if not then thats just tough $hit ;)

I will miss our little interactions Steven :indiff: ...... Not!! :p
 
well dear ron maybe it's just me but i feel quite disrespected by your reply. i thought i was trying to be nice and considerate, and maybe was a bit critical about your remarks in your earlier post. i just wondered why you reacted in the way you did on how people forgot to show their appreciation for your contribution to the forum. but now i'm the dumbass? very sorry you feel and react this way. i promised myself and the forum not to be persuaded into rant anymore so that's all i will say about this. still i feel bad this has happened :grumpy: whether or not my fault :ouch:
 
Mr. P: Thanks for the time and effort. I generally don't view the replays-no particular reason-but thought it was cool to be able to see the PAL stuff. I agree that GT5P and GT5 will be a completely different online experience, and by next spring (hopefully) I'll be able to sample it here in NA.

Until then I'll probably still be here, so feel free to stop by and give me some splits to chase as only rarely was I able to keep up.

Down the road, I'll be looking forward to running against you in the GT5 WRS - whatever form that may take here at GTP!

Good luck and sorry that the frustration became too much!

When I first started here I didn't want to seem like a weenie and try to correct you. It was pretty clear early on you had a little inside joke going there, and I thought it would be funnier for both of us if I just let it go.

Gotta admit it would make a pretty good nickname if I were somewhat less gainfully employed. If I can't use GordonJohncock (one of my all-time favorite names, right after Dick Trickle) in GT5 I'll have to go with Superwilly!
