Wow! I haven't raced this beast of a car since GT3  I think I will defo run a few this week :)

I couldn't resist trying this one now, so here are my first session splits, with top speed 330, no aids and no 2nd gear:

0'32.071
1'02.286

Judging by the bridge this is the Speedway version and not the East section so this is my favourite track and a very capable car, I won't be able to officially win divsion 2 without videos but expect to see me up there, hell yeah.

one word ...
yummy
SECONDED!!! The stock HP levels will make it even more perfect. SWEET!

Another kickarse week. If only I had more time on my hands...............

Ok, back to the fun of wk 138... :)

After just a couple of laps, can go faster.......
T1: 32.428
T2: 1.03.526

... no aids and no 2nd gear
definetely gonna try MT this week, hoping staying in third in the tight corners might prevent spinning.
Judging by the bridge this is the Speedway version and not the East section so this is my favourite track
true. if otherwise the steward would have called it 'east section' or GVE.

👍 👍

I don't know this car at all. It seems fun, but I am still working on my brand new-never used before wrs 138-FP skills. To me, this WRS 139 will be a double challenge. What this car will behave @ the hairpin? We'll see....... 👍

First splits using 360 gear.
T1= 32.780 T2= 1'05.030
Since I don't know the car very well, or the track for that matter, I've decided to run the middle gear for the first few days. After I get up some consistent speed, then I might try some other gears, depending on the consensus of the posts.
Race ON!

After a session of 25 laps or so, some new splits:
T1= 32.642 T2= 1'04.428

There's so much speed left out there. It's shaping up to be great week of racing!!👍

three pairs of t's posted so here is your new ... board! :)

maybe i missed something but what's your controller mate? post it and i'll put it in luxy 👍

EDIT edited holden's controller - it's either code 1 (wheel) or code 2 (ps handheld device) as far as i am/luxy is concerned. thanks!

EDIT 2 update up to post 14

It's a power WAVE ps2 controller, it's extremely similar to DS2 except slighlty bulkier with nice murals of car stuff on front like a muffler, rims and a speedo doing just a tick under 200km/hr, it's also got a really thin rubber on the back providing grip while still feeling like plastic. I reckon that the joysticks are slightly easier to use and the buttons slighly easier to give different pressure levels, for accelerating this is handy, but overall it's so similar to DS2, you can call it DS2, I do.

I'm division 2 as well.

New splits
T1: 32.385
T2: 1.02.958

I have seen a first sector split of 31.844 and a second sector split of 1.02.644 but I screwed both them laps up.

Well this being the first real car I raced for WRS when it was at Laguna Seca. How can I pass it up this time!? I'll try to post splits by the end of the day. Hopefully I'll find it easier to keep this combo clean unlike the last one.

My splits from today's best lap:
T1 31.968
T2 1'02.254

I lost about a tenth at the last chicane... :ouch:

Anyway,great fun,sjaak! 👍

you guys are dwarfing me!
-
T1: 35.656
T2: 1'07.216
-
Mind you i very nearly span out on the exit of the tight s-bend near the finish...

Update!
-
T1: 34.211
T2: 1'05.992
-
No, probs here, apart from the last corner where i overbraked a tad.

32.599
1'02.795

I tested the Zonda with medium tires but for the last bend towards the finish you had to brake.
With the soft tires the last bend can be taken flat-out ,very trickie but more fun.:D

I have no problem with the bend leading to the finish line.
But before with that chicane...I tried in 2nd and 3rd gear. That's the more problematic part of the track for me at least.

say, do we know you, friend?

update

my first humble splits: 34.368 - 1.06.309

great car & track, just wish i could control that lovely oversteer. prolly they didn't apply much back downforce to it while importing it from gt mode ... :scared:

Another session, this time I've begun to drop the gear, but still nothing close to 1'02.xxx.
T1= 32.837 T2= 1'04.291
The week is young.
Race ON!

Oh, my, GOODNESS!

Here I am, struggling to get a good T2, and starting to wonder if something's funny... I mean, at first I was just starting to blame it on the fact that I had forgotten that this car has "interesting" handling, but then I began to wonder. This can't be right.

Well, low and behold, I take a look at my specs real quick, and instead of turning DOWN the weight 10%, I turned it UP!!! Hahaha. Glad I caught that now, after only 15 minutes or so, instead of continuing on. Oh man.

Things should go smoother from now on. Still though, this week's fun ratio is hampered by this car's quirky handling when you get back on the throttle. I had forgotten about that. Thank goodness we don't have the power turned up.

Well then, off to get some real splits, instead of 1'04.5s.

OK, I've got my "official" splits and then I'm going to call it a day.
T1: 31.997
T2: 1.02.786

I'll tell everyone that I think the best first sector split is a 31.7xx as I had a 31.784 and don't think there's much quicker, then in that same lap I had a 1.02.475 which isn't the quickest out here but I screwed up T3 so that lap was buggered, I hope some people have something to aim for now. I can't put it all in one lap.

Just ran some laps on this and its quite the handful getting aquainted again after such a long time :dopey: ... I managed a clean save though and will be gunning for more .. 31.874 / 1'01.988, there's quite a few tenths left scattered about I hope to grab anyway. I will submit before the deadline to be sure not to miss it! Wicked combo Sjaakie!! 👍

Here's what I came up with after a couple minutes of the proper specs...

T1: 32.080
T2: 1'02.324

More to come, of course.

I REALLY wish I had spent more time on last week's race. That one was purfect. Blah. The initial on the throttle understeer bugs me with this combo, but thankfully it's better now that I'm running the proper weight.

Whine whine... :p

Oh, my, GOODNESS!

Well then, off to get some real splits, instead of 1'04.5s.

Hey, I've got 1'04.5xx for a split, maybe it's my settings, too!!! :sly:
Um, no, it's not. Ah, the life of a mid-pack D2 racer. Just fast enough to stay ahead of most of D3 and too slow to challenge for anything other than an occasional podium in D2, while D1 drivers beat me with an extra 20% weight!

Race ON!!!

first splits... 32.229 1'03.052

LOTS of time left as can be seen by others numbers....also 340 gears, no second gear.

I hope enough guys beat me so I don't get gold and be disqualified, but at the moment I'm still top of Div 2, come on guys. I can tell you the lap was clean but seeing is believing.
