New splits for me. Finally broke the 56 second barrier.

I found a bit of a new technique for driving that makes the car a lot smoother, so it helped a good bit, but it made me realize how much more room for improvement there still is.

T1: 14.513
T2: 32.017
T3: 55.925

Still more to come, that one has an icky T1, and an icky right just before T3.

Loving every minute of this combo, just having issues concentrating for a whole lap(been playing for the past 45 min), and am running short on sleep, and GOING TO GERMANY TOMORROW!!!!

Getting 57's at T3 consistantly.

Best splits so far:

T1: 15.278 T2: 32.785 T3: 56.824

unfortunately though that lap went dirty coming out of the turn after T3 so i have nothing to submit yet, and i suppose it dosnt belong on the leader board but i'll leave that up to the updaters.

It's good to be back. :)

I ran some laps yesterday in the woodone and came up with an ok lap, something like 14.6 / 32.2 / 55.90, must have some kind of miracle last sector because tonight I've been able to get low 55.8x and one 55.7x and still cannot beat it :banghead: I've had 14.3's 31.9's and such...... I'll be back in a few with some splits for the board 👍

Well, got into a groove and didn't stop. I think I'll stop here though, as it's past my bedtime and I'm still going to get up early to finish packing and all those little details before you head out of the country for a week.

Had a blast giving this one a goooooood go like I used to on almost every combo though, even if it was only a one day blast.

Submitting these splits, lost a couple tenths here and there and one close call in the tunnel right around T2 :
T1: 14.411(14.301)
T2: 31.766
T3: 55.386:sly:

Cerumo w/330 gearing still.

But then I played it a smidge on the conservative side through the final chicane, so I only finished 2 tenths ahead of my ghost that was a 55.7xx at T3.

O.K. I've beaten this lap a few times with some ugly lines and close calls :crazy: , fastest a 55.74 or so but I don't like any of them very much.

I'll give this another solid sesion and also give the orange a go one more time to see.

After spending way to much time trying, i finally improved my times a bit. Still driving in the woodone.

T1: 15.251
T2: 33.420
T3: 58.101

Splits didn't improve that much, but laptime is .9xx better. I've seen T1's under 15 seconds, T2's under 33 sec. and one T3 of 57.4xx so i'll keep trying.

That's a nice TV Steve. I wanted a Sony but at the time they were too expensive and only 720p. . I own a Mitsubishi DLP, awesome picture and all, but the lamp in it only lasts 2000-2500 hours. I owned mine for 1 year and a few days and it needed replacement. It was still covered by warranty, but it sounds like I'll need one almost every year.

No new splits for me as I can't seem to beat the WOODONE time. I've been driving the Tom's 01 and the CERUMO. I like the Tom's. The CERUMO is fast for me up to the crest of the hill before T3 and I can't handle it at that point. I can brake differently in the Tom's and come out of that area perfectly. At least for me. I think the CERUMO wants to fly. The Tom's feels stable.

Just started a session with the au and after a few laps and adjusting brake points I can now see the advantage of this car :) NO NEED to update the board with this one as the time at the line is the same as my woody but thought I'd share it anyway.

as you can see, I dumbed the 3rd sector trying to preserve the lap but I'm on it

It's not even 1080p as this old fart couldn't afford to double the price for this one. Looks shiny and 's got crisp pictures nevertheless. Did I say 37"? It's 32" in fact, but big enough for my sitting room.

Slower T3 by a fraction, faster at the line by .15 in the Cerumo. I'm going to jump into the Woodone today and see what I come up with. Good luck to all who are still at it.
 
As I swore to use the Woodone in the beginning of the week, I never took the Cerumo out since. But after reading the many good times and improvements lots of people are getting in the Cerumo I started doubting my decision, and Andy's last big improvement with the orange beast pushed me over the edge. I sat down, and settled myself for a long session with both cars.

It was a gruelling and sometimes painfully frustrating afair which saw me cross the line just hundres or even thousand slower than my best lap. Also endured many a crash searching for the very limit of my abilities.

55 frustrating minutes later I still hadn't improved and was about ready to call it a day, when out of the blue came a (for me anyways) perfect lap which shaved off about .4 sec's of my total time. I never thought I could get such a time, so I'm pretty chuffed. ...And I kinda hate to admit it, but I was driving the Cerumo at the time :)

New (and probably final) splits:

FYI Luke is Luke Lutman from Canada (WRS Div1) whose username is Luxy and who built our beloved WRS leaderboard.

Ditto from here.

I've submitted my time. The poor car has too many dents and scrapes to continue. Crew Chief says it'll take a year to repair damage.:crazy:

The track steward has formally complained that bridge repairs threaten to close the track for several months.:scared:

We won't even mention the removal of rocks from certain areas of the track that have been ripped off by my demolition team.

Been quite busy myself but have been able to spend most of the day getting down a respectable time in the Cerumo-(1).

Too me gearing is sort of secondary, I´ve used gears ranging from 310-350 and found no real difference overall ... that said it does seem to affect the stability of the Cerumo.
I love the track but the handling is very twitchy with those super-softs.
... or maybe it´s just me :yuck: ... driving way to inconsistantly :grumpy:;)
Poor car... but the crashes are quite spectacular :sly:
So you´re right there, RonB... the stewards should warn people of extinsive damage to the track :guilty::banghead::cheers:

I´ll keep on pushing.
