After last weeks painful combo I feel that you all really deserve some fun. I have therefore raised the DTM handicap combo from the dead. I have been working on this one for some days and I'm still not sure how it will pan out in regard to allowing division 2 and 3 a fair crack of getting to that line at the same time as division 1. However, I do think it's going to be closer than the last event because I've given division 3 yet more power.

I really hope our division 1 & 2 drivers won't shy away from this combo and not take part, because without you guys would render this combo pointless.

I would just like to thank those who helped me in testing this one. You know who you are. 👍👍



Standard Clean OLR Rules:

• 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
• rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
• no contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
• if you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
• no hybrids
• no cheating of any kind
• nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
• save your replay ('Save Replay' icon)

Time verification:

Save your replay and keep it at least a full week after the time has been submitted:

• fastest times each week will be required to submit a replay for verification
• any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
• when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide a replay before the next race deadline
• failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from WRS results
• video replays are not accepted, only .max, .xps or .sps files can be verified

Yet, unless I find a magical lap, I'm going to be near the bottom of the results sheet. You Div. 3 guys had better give it your all; you have a great shot at even beating Mr P this week!
The only bad thing I can say is this is going to take away from my pursuit of a decent time in Week 149.

I'm hovering around a 25.5 and 56.8+. I love the track, but am used to it in something that is much less glued down.

Edit: Speaking of which, haha, it says last week that it'd be the last of the stickies for a while! Discouraged with Master P's speed and the discussion of how "bad" last week was, I'mma go give it a quick whirl. I'm extending my "vacation" time, I don't want to get back to the regular grind just yet.

Is everyone sure they are using Racing sort and not super soft?

I know I'm not the best driver, but I'm definantly average and I don't see myself getting under 56 seconds for the second sector unless I get a REALLY FRIGGEN DARN GOOD lap, I'm only seeing possibly low 58's with the way I'm running now. Mr P broke 55 with a bigger handicap, and this is the only first day.

Either I'm missing something, you guys are missing something, or I'm taking a REALLY bad line, but I don't see 4 seconds in that piece of the lap anywhere.


I can't wait to see these replays, basically.

Im running racing soft tyres +10 -10 i see where your coming from perfect 4 seconds is alot but DIV-1 drivers are aliens lol im running high low 59's at the mo guess its all about linking the corners in the right racing line

The posted splits so far don't look out of sync to the splits I had from the test runs. I'm aware that a div 3 tester for this combo was hitting 56's.

I ran some laps at -10 weight and no power change, +10 on power and +19 on power.

Using RS tires so far, my best T2 was 59.6XX, but that was only about 2 seconds better than the laps with no power change. So the power handicap helps, but there is still only so much any car can do in corners, and we all know that's where we tend to lose our time.

The other issue is that the guys like Mr. P tend to get within 10's of their limit within a few sessions, whereas I (And my D3 mates) normally have loads of time to gain as the week goes on.

Case in point, my lap for week 149 is currently more than 5 seconds better than my first save for that week.

Anyhow, I will post some actual splits later on and we will see how this one looks 7 days from now. I have a feeling Steven will give us all a run for our money this week, he has been asking for this combo since I came to WRS.

I guess I'll just have to keep trying and see. There must be a much faster line than I'm taking, because with my current line there's only a 2 seconds or so of improvement area.

Time for driving crazily around to track to find weird lines that work....

Cool, at least I know I'm doing SOMETHING right. I'm using the same gearing you are! But I have no 🤬 clue how to make up another second by T2! Oh well, I suppose just getting within a second of your last split is quite an achievement.

300 eh, hmm, I'll give that a try. I was winging around in 290 and 340. Still though, you're getting the good line over the hill, me-thinks. I'll see what I can do.

VERY close to walls in the tunnel and the hairpin , but clean, as far as I can tell. Hopefully I find a better time that's unquestionably clean.

This is a much smoother setup than last week! I really seem to be growing fonder and fonder of this track. If it weren't for the crazy uphill after the tunnel and almost taking flight every time I would be way down with this track. Either way the sweeping fast corners and green scenery are always an awesome mix. First splits for me of the week worth posting. I will be putting in way more las with this setup for sure.

25.610 / 57.316 ... I have seen a T1 of 25.4 but keep stuffing up over that stupid hill seriously I have no idea how to run though that section, the rest of the track is ok.

Will have to give it another go later.. is there a way of avioding the chicane after T1??.. I might have to bring out the Harry Potter car if worse comes to worse.

I did my first lap just missing walls here and there and thinking to myself wow. This might be my fastest lap on lap one lol, silly me as i pulled two seconds off that . Looks good to watch the replay from the track side cameras.
