First off, congrats to all who participated, IMHO a great week of racing and a tricky little combo from our Steward. As I have stated too often I'm no tuner but this week I did learn a few things. Thanks Jerry.👍

Congrats to all the golds and podiums. Some close racing this week in Div II and a little paint trading in all Div's I suspect.

As for EDK, and 01gtp, you must allow an old man to sneak in there once in awhile, besides even a blind hog finds an acorn now and again.:sly:

While not mandatory I"ve posted my replay. Trust it's the correct one. :dunce:

Kindly Verified clean by 01GTP & EDK.

gtbadboy's lap is clean and green. Nicely controlled run I might add, the most controlled that I watched so far. You deserve your podium finish.
Well done Ron.👍

its all good, i just simply won't submit anymore, i'll just record my runs and post them on the esults page

You know you're giving Aussies a bad name. We're the ones who're supposed to win (and lose in my case :-)) graciously and with respect for our opponents.

I can understand that it gets a little boring not having anyone at your level to compete with but if you're really as good as you seem why not get into the serious stuff like the V8 challenge or even F1. If you can dominate any of those you'll be able to name your price.

Guys like Dick Johnson, Peter Brock and Jim Richards were at the top of their class for longer than you've been alive and were always perfect gentlemen (okay there was the 'pack of arseholes' comment but that was deserved). You need to try a little harder if you want to follow in their footsteps.

to be honest i have no idea how my last comment is arrogant, it never intended to be, i was just saying i still want to be a part of the wrs because i love the series so much and have raced here for 3 or so years, but unfortunately i made a promise to a freind that he can keep the maxdrive that i once owned. i'm here to help, not to be an arrogant prick! cheers!!

"It's highly unlikely I'll be using my maxdrive anymore" without any further explanation makes most people think you just can't be bothered anymore. "I gave away my max-drive so I can't make any more replays" is a completely different statement.

If it's something that simple then PM me your address and I'll send you another maxdrive.

If you take part, you will take part in the same way as everyone else, by playing by the rules. If not, then allow me to give you a friendly piece of advice; Don't post here.

I don't know Sphinx...that seems a little harsh. I don't think there is anything wrong with Holl01 posting splits. It's just that until he gets his .max back or runs to the store and simply purchases another one, no final times should be accepted by him.

Thank for checking my replay 01gtp

I agree, it is harsh. However, there comes a time when one has to say enough is enough.

Furthermore, seeing that this isn't the first time that we've been down this road,

This has all been said before, and more in fact . Why should I allow to have our members subjected to a person who feels that the rules are not for him. Hell, I've never submitted a dirty replay since 1999, does that mean I don't have to submit a replay for verification? Of course not, because I follow the rules just like everybody else.

Do I want Dan to race here? Sure I do, but not playing by his rules, but by the rules of the WRS.

Thanks Kenny. I tried to tune the car so I could drive it without all the drift. May not have been the fastest way around but I accomplished what I set out to do and learned a good bit about tuning that's for sure.

About this other matter of posting replays. Call me an old conservative sot but "rules is rules." I stand with our Steward on this one. Just MHO.

^ enough said. ^

I'm the culprit who bought Dan's maxdrive, but because I got a new job and he now lives further away making it near impossible for me to retrieve his replays.

I also checked gtbadboy's and rmk700's replays, out of my own selfish motivation to know where I was too slow. :sly:

Both Clean and Green, as Kenny has stated. 👍

You guys sure managed to keep the car looking under control. I noticed both of you used some aids, looks like TCS for sure, but possibly even some ASM? Question only out of my own curiosity. I left the aids off, since I could manage to drive without.

You guys sure managed some nice, smooth and clean last sectors, though.

Thanks Kevin and Kenny for the green flag. 👍

As for "aids," no TCS or ASM actually. I usually turn those off first thing. (lesson from Hugo and SJaak a long time ago) If they were on it was by accident but, I'm sure I turned them off. I'll check again to be sure. :dunce:

Second sector was the tough one for me. I found the wall on the left just before t2 more times than I needed too that's for sure.

We're gone for the weekend ........ again but I'll see you at Motegi late Sunday afternoon. :nervous:

Edit: I stand corrected. No TCS but the ASM was set at 5 for over and under!

Kevin

I used 3 ASM (oversteer) and 0 understeer and 0 TCS. I have yet to learn how to drive a car with the ass end slidding all over.:yuck:

Thanks for checking it also.👍

yeah, i think I previously mentioned before that i was not an owner of a maxdrive anymore but i probably should have made it more clearer in my post, that 'highly unlikely' should have been 'if wayne has some spare time' . well in the following days or weeks were i will not have a maxdrive, i can still record replay videos for unofficial verification using a capture card, as u may have noticed i just sent u an email enquiring about a maxdrive:tup: cheers!

I took time to check some PAL replays:

Quiksilver_GT: Clean, the splits were very close to mine with very different driving styles, but then you braked too late after T2 and lost a lot of time.

Andy: Clean, another nice lap but the missed braking point after T1 cost a lot.

OnlyMe: Clean, not bad but you let the car understeer more than you should, which sometimes didn't let you use the best line, especially at T3.

just need to hook up a capture card i bought recently for 30 bucks and i'll be able to make videos of the runs in wrs, at this stage its highly unlikely i'll be using a maxdrive anymore for gt4:tup:

DQ'd. Failure to provide a replay in the allotted time.

Results page updated.

Congrats to rmk700. 👍👍
