Important notice:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Unofficial" and will become "Official" when all posted replays have been checked. After 7 days, any racers achieving a Gold time who do not provide a replay will have their lap disqualified.

Please Note:
I will update this post during the week to include any posted replays and also keep track of which replays have been checked and by whom.

Quick Guide To Replay Checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing – Super Hard and that the power is 432 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle.

Congrats to all golds - Denur is definitely in the wrong league :)
A very disappointing lap from me this week, while I thought I found a nice setup to let the nice beamer behave as I wanted it to :grumpy:
Anyways, onto El Capitan in that crazy overpowered racer :scared:

Damn, forgot to submit..
had splits of 25.4xx 49.5xx and full lap of 1'24.098

thought, I'm not very mutch into tuning cars in GT4 ..
I prefer stock setups.

Congrats to Zikwik, Jimmy 10 and Denur. 👍

I enjoyed this combo, but did not spend as much time on it as I would have liked. Not sure that I would have caught Jimmy, but I might have given myself a chance at a gold if I'd had one more session.

Great turnout here in D2, and I'm glad to be racing Kenny for 10ths again.

Looking forward to running lots of El Cap this week. 👍

Congratulations to all the GOLDS!!!
and also all the podiums. Great running!!!
Wow did not expect my time to be gold worthy!

GL all next week!

Congrats to Zikwik for the overall win. Sick time there.

Well done to Jimmy10, raz10 and Denur for your golds and/or division wins.

Sjaak I really like the side view BMW picture.

Wow did not expect my time to be gold worthy!

Ricardo your time was 3rd overall, great time there.

Congrats to all the winners n the podiums

Steven...

You will stand a chance this week:dopey: I just came back from a soccer match with my left hand injured :scared: i don't stand a chance this week:crazy:

Edit:
Here's my lap...:odd:

Congratulations to Zwik, Jimmy10, raz10 and Denur on their gold times, especially Zwik on his overall win.

I am admittedly no tuner but, I'll run 'em any way, after all someone has to make Kenny and Kevin look good eh?

Here is my replay

First tuner type event and im still not sure if it was better to try and tune the car or just put the laps in...................

Zikwik thats an awesome lap !!!!

Congrats to everyone who entered this event.

Congrats to all other winners. 👍

And a special thanx to Zikwik for the setup. I had to tune it down a bit though, to make the car manageble for me.

Thanks everyone and congratulations to Jimmy 10 and Denur for their victories and to all those who took part in this week ;) !!
It was a really nice combo, really funny :) .
Here is my replay:

Hey all:
So it just came to my attention that there may be a false wall on the left turn after T1.
Here are some pictures to help understand my DQ!!!!:indiff:

The first pic is the M3 parked touching the wall!
The second is of my lap replay... Even though there is a gap "shown" between my tire and the "actual" wall, my speed drops significantly after checking the data logger.

Thank you to those that helped me review this mistake.

Hey Ricardo

Some of us have been down this path before and I'll have to admit that this is the first time that I have seen this situation.
Thanks for posting the pictures and stepping up.

I did enjoy watching your replay and you are a fast driver.
I really love the blip on the acceleration.

Hey Ricardo

I checked your pics and i really dunno how you're DQ. but i'll check your replay coz what you're talkin abt. is like my replay but i didn't touch the wall:odd:!!!

Ricardo - + Rep for stepping in and posting the info on your lap. I've been in your same spot, almost the same situation. Fast lap, you want it to be clean, you freeze it, you see a gap, and away the PM goes. :dopey:

I think you are just the unfortunate victim of an "invisiwall".

But, as Kenny said, you had a well driven lap, just an unfortunate close call.

See you on the next one. 👍

Kevin

Park the car right against the wall on the right in the left hand turn after T1. Let is sit there for a minute. Run the replay and take a picture from the same angle. That's the picture of the Gray car, Ricardo's picture is the yellow car.

Im in the same boat !!!

Checked my replay before submission and saw a definate gap between wheel and barrier and thought it was within the spirit of the regulations. Have just checked data and there is a 3 mph drop in terminal speed at about that point - taking into consideration that the car goes up on the curb and then goes into oversteer situation from that point till the braking area for the hairpin right hander. Its a close call - I am happy to withdraw the lap if it is determined too close to call by any fellow racers.

Jimmy

Dad just took a look at my lap and as I didnt lift and lost the 3 mph his opinion is the lap is not up to wrs standards. Sorry to all of you for submitting a dirty lap.
Lesson learned.

Thanks for rechecking your lap and also for stepping forward and letting us know.
You use the PAL format and I can not check any replays with that format.
I'm sure others can and I would still like some one to check it and post a reply about it.

I'm going to double check my own replay and I will have reply later on today.
I know it is not needed as its not a gold but fair is fair. I'll also post my replay for any one interested in seeing it.

Its an honor to be among such honest people.

I picked up the replays from Zikwik, Denur and Marooned. All at 432hp and with the correct compound.

Zikwik: fantastic smooth driving, always high-revving like the M3 needs, not a single apex missed ... green & clean 👍 & a well deserved win.

Denur: you probably uploaded the wrong replay, because in this one you make an error after T1, come to a halt and stand still ... at 10" I stopped waiting for something to happen :) maybe give it another go?

Marooned: you uploaded a replay tho it wasn't requested (silver) which is good. However, I think I found a wall touch at around second 32 (lefthander after T1 and before the very tight righthander) that could also be interpreted as a serious kerb movement. I'm no star in the analysis screen but you might want to check it yourself? I include a picture of that moment.

This sounds like the same problem with a previous replay. It is probably the correct replay (I never save a lap where I messed up big time), but somehow the conversion from .psv to .max does not work entirely correctly. For that reason I also attached the .psv file. Maybe someone has the time and will to check it on a PS3. :)

Can I do that using my el cheapo PS3 or does that require a fancy bigGB machine? :) Love to help but won't spend another €€€ just to help some guy from Eindhoven of all places  👍

That's the same spot as Raz and Jimmy. :nervous: There's not really a kerb there, just an invisiwall. Since it's PAL, I cannot put it in the logger. Someone else will need to do that.

We thank you as well, for stepping forward. Looks like that spot had its share of victims. :scared: I looked at my replay again, and I have about half a car width on the right through there because I got tired of messing up good T1's by whacking that wall.

I'm going to double check my own replay and I will have reply later on today.

Post it up and I'll have a look. I'll post mine tonight or tomorrow as well. 👍 Not the prettiest lap I've ever run, have a couple spots of correcting oversteer where it looks pretty funny, but it's clean.

I guess you can. Just create a virtual PS2 memory card on your PS3 (somewhere under data tools or something like that, I cannot check it now) and attach it to virtual port one (probably already done as a default). Then insert your GT4 disc and start the game as you do normally. Now make some change to your setup and save. This creates a GT4 save game, which is needed to be able to use the replay feature. Exit the game and insert a usb stick with my .psv save game in a "PS3\Export\PSV" folder and copy it to the virtual PS2 memory card you created. Restart the game and you should now be able to view the replay. If all fails, check with Sjaak. He succeeded in viewing my first replay. :)

How can I enter the GT4 disc into the PS3 machine if I know it's not downward compatible? Probably Sjaak has the more expensive machine.
Sorry 'bout that mate, just my misplaced sense of humour of which I am known to irritate some people over here at GTP :scared:

I didn't know that there are these kind of PS3's. My bad. :ouch:

LOL, no problem at all man. I was in fact LMAOROF when I read your remark about Eindhoven.

Guys, this is the WRS. The longest running GT race series on the Net. It's also renowned for its high standard of racing and cleanliness. The integrity of the WRS is paramount and anything that puts this integrity into question will be dealt with severely. If we get three DQ's this week I will be very disappointed to say the least.

Always check your replay before submission.

No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible.

If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty.

I'm sorry, but honestly, how hard can it be!

"...anything that puts this integrity into question will be dealt with severely." :boggled:
Some people have expressed some doubts about their own laps, but these are people who submitted their own laps too. But I am afraid that if someone did misuse a glits in the game and did win positions by wall riding, that Sphinx must resort to a good spancking of the culprit and maybe even use his power to expell the person from further access to these forea. Howerver, so far, I have no indication that any foulplay has been played and all remains clean. So lighten up, relax and re-read any doubtfull posts. By the way, alcohol does play a role in most people's perception. It does in mine anyway currently. :)
