GT4 WRS Week 175 : Panoz Esperante @ El Capitan

New splits with the 370 gearing.
Worked for Jimmy so I thought I'd try it.
The higher topspeed helps plant the rear without tire spin.
I'm afraid to look up and crash to see the actual top speed, it has to be some where near 200mph.

Dont know if any of you read my suggestion about running a 10 lap event in conjuntion with the weekly WRS event.
Im happy to keep track of the results and post a leaderboard.
It will be run using the weekly WRS car, track and specs in arcade mode with the event taking approx 15 minutes - ten laps depending on track.
AI cars at 0. No tyre wear and no penalties.
Quickest total time wins the week. No divisions - see how it goes.
Teams ? Why not ?
Nominate your team mate and we can do team results as well. Cumulative or by average.
Overall rankings similar to world golf averages so you dont have to enter every week.
Results to me 24 hrs after the normal WRS deadline.

Perhaps, but 10 laps is a little extreme, sometimes I can get 5 consecutive laps that are all within .1 of my fastest time, but add in AI and a hard combo then it would be less fun to do.

Perhaps 5-7 laps. It might be better to just run the combo like normal since doing it in a different mode with AI is a bit annoying, plus if the laps are up to 10 you may catch up to the other cars by lapping them which would be more annoying.

So if you are running the combo like normal with no AI and you have a good session without restarting because of mess ups for however many laps we race to you can just save that massive replay anytime and just say you did it on laps (3-9) and add just those lap times together. Could add in some time penalties for minor infractions and void times that clearly are cutting.

Would race it if it's like that, when I get my TV back that is. :crazy:

I got not that much time to do my runs but I got a lucky clean one.

No Sjaak, you are a force to be reckoned with for sure. Time peals us off a bit is all, btw you're combo's are great đź‘Ť

I've had 2 20 min sessions at this one, it's hard for me these days to get the motivation to lay a lap down, I'm not concerned with how I fair, it'ts just that I need to get something together that I'm o.k. with...........

Seconded. I spent about an hour on this yesterday and haven't come up with something clean that I'm satisfied with yet. Having fun going at it though, until I have a good lap and then mess it up... :crazy: The times from MadMax have me a bit :scared: though, unless he's put multiple hours into the combo like I used to way back when.

It's really tough playing GT4 after prologue and vice versa. You are still a solid racer, you just don't run every week like we do. :dopey:

And your combos are difficult, but in a good way. :sly:

I have not managed another clean lap with a faster time yet, going back for more now. Spent too much time in the Chaparral yesterday. :crazy:

EDIT: New splits for me after a quick session this morning. I think I'll give this one more go tomorrow morning before deadline, since it's a holiday here. :)

Really nice splits there.
 
So, this morning before submitting I watched my replay and decided to check the analyzer for a drop in speed through the tunnel, sure enough I had a 4MPH drop from a wall touch.
I was ready to submit a much slower lap but decided to give it one more try.
I'm glad I did as I have gained nearly 1 second from my original fast lap. The splits are not that different so all that time was made up in the last sector and I'm quite happy with this lap.
