GT4 WRS Week 26: "Feline Fireball"

Well, well well... Doesn't matter anymore anyway... I thought it'd take me a bit longer to beat where I was, but I guess not... I just did my fastest lap ever. Still not to my goal, and my splits were even slower than the ones up there. GOOD!

And not only that, but I just looked at my files when I saved this ghost, and lo-and-behold, my last fastest lap IS on there. Well, not anymore because I just deleted it, but it was there. Why I couldn't see it last time, I have no clue. Jeeez.

I'm going to improve a bit more and then submit hopefully, splits will be posted within an hour or so.
 
Board updated ... there were not many submitted splits since the last update, but they're on there.

I'd say something like "you'll have to catch me, TimBrad!", but I haven't left the pits this week ... I took the car around the track once and decided I'd rather recline in my beach chair drinking margaritas while all of you race around like headless chickens.
 
Well, that's going to be it... I was ahead of it a couple times by .2-.3ish, had a couple T2s that were faster than I've ever gone before, but before I could put a lap together, I went sloppy. I can't even put together a decent T2 without a T1 of high 12.9xx or a 13.0xx. Worthless. I don't want to spend more time on it either, gotta head out to work anyway.

So, with the worst splits from me I'm going to submit my fastest time. Not quite to my goal, but whatever. Good luck to everyone still running!

I'll post my final splits and settings when I get back from work. T3 was 55.834 or so... *sigh* :indiff:

EDIT: its going to be close T13R, cant wait. U got me beat by .050 at t3...fingers crossed.

Hehehe, I'll try not to :banghead: I do have time for one more session tonight to try though...

What I find really weird this week is that for me it's the first time I ever tune a car in GT4, and I find that although my setup feels better than the stock settings, its really not much faster. With completely stock settings and no assists I was able to get a 56.1 T3 ( I'm using the 1.5 LSD, maybe I should try 1 way only or none also )
 
Time submitted. Drove this combo only 3 times or so (maybe total of 10 laps). Didn't like it very much, but submitted it anyway. Going for last place this week :p

Ahhh you'll have me beat....
I tried my best too...like 4,697,900 miles on the car and only got about 4 laps that i catually liked... oh well, time is being submitted now......
 
Just had my fastest lap about an hour ago (though not my fastest splits)go figure,then lost power to the house less than a minute after. Didn't have time to save it...aaaaahhh. I'm running 5th. in Div2 so I might just risk submitting it. Although it's only .132 faster than my fastest save, should I gamble it or go the safe way.
 
If it were me I would play it safe, but then again no guts no glory either. GL dude.

Gonna play it safe jump_ace, thanks man! I'm not looking for glory or public humiliation, I get enough of the latter in real life. Fifth or tenth place is fine with me, I'm resigned to the fact that I'm an average driver here (middle of Div.2).My rationalization is that being average among the best drivers in the world is not so bad.

Hey jump_ace, I just looked at the leaderboard and noticed you're a tiny fraction behind me. That wouldn't have anything to do with your advice would it?

ran a second stint and chipped a bit off my time; but i'm still going to get burried this week.

oh, and how far did everyone run their kitty this week?
my odometer had 458miles on it when I retired her to garage.

anywho... time submitted, off to the nordschliefe to brutalize some poor unspecting car for 24 hours.

U now I was honestly thinking of making a little statement about how those of us fighting for the podium every week are like the #1 Contenders in Boxing; were all as hungry as hell to win; driven in every sense of the word. And the D1 is making it 'Big Time' But ur right T13R (sorry man I dunno ur name) the comp is better in D2. But IF I ever make it to D1, it'll be nice to squarrel with SHig and some others again!

Not many people do know my name, I'm an on/off kind of guy when it comes to the GT OLR scene, but I've been around for a couple of years now, mostly for GT3... I'm still new to GT4. My name's Fabio, nice to meet ya Jerome :) Maybe I'll put some extra info in the "NEW TO WRS THREAD".

I guess I'm heading towards another position right behind you, unless some others nearby have a trick up their sleeves in that final sector hehe. :cheers:

it took me 22 years and 6 months to lose my virginity :grumpy: , and just 10 weeks to get to div1 :dopey: , but somehow, i rather have your story... much better i think 👍

Hehehehehe... (evil laugh). I'm getting there... Just chopped off .2ish but still have something like a 55.7xx or something at T3! So, just gotta get those damn T times down and I'll be set for this week's race.
 
Submitting time. I haven't ran since thrusday (I think). Taking next week off since I don't have an F1. Also, unfortunately I'll be joining the DS2 gang for awhile.
 
Had a good run at this on tuesday and wednesday hoping I could improve over the weekend but on thursday my game went corrupt and I lost all my settings :(. Submitting my original time, I really wish I could have had more runs, I'm sure I could have shaved almost .3 from my time. T2 was 55.2 or 55.3, I can't remember exactly.
