Have i been demoted yet?

I have been running this, but i havent given it the time it deserves... been busy.

The combo rox, but the frustration factor with the arse of this car is quite high.

Laps can be thrown away by turn one.

Ill see how tonite goes.

I wrote and meant 'promotion', not 'demotion'.
Promotion rewards a driver's effort.
Demotion can only be done on the driver's request, since it's usually due to a lack of practice or motivation rather than to a lack of skill.
So unless you beg for it, you won't be demoted to div. 2, even if you constantly run 10 seconds slower than other div 1 racers.

BAH!!! Splits got worse but overall time get better. :odd:

T1: 0:18.125 (slower by .2)
T2: 0:50.893 (slower by .4)
Lap: x:xx.xxx (faster by .4)

I know my previous fast time I messed up a bit in the 'esses' but damn, I didn't know it was that much.

Same thing has happened to me, I've bettered my times twice, but my sector splits were worse. That says something, I don't know exactly what.

. Brought home the coveted "Peoples Choice" trophy. Amazing considering the car that came in second was a pristine '67 Mustang, brought from out of state in a trailer complete with a 3 man team and chrome mirrors set all along the ground to see underneath. The car is NEVER driven, for show only. These guys were such a**es, they acted like they were doing everyone a favor by showing up. Walking past these guys on my way to pick up my trophy was the most fun I ever had.

I did some more laps last night.

I had a couple of good laps that were the same at T2 as my previously saved one, but half a second faster at the finish line...

...then I had a really good lap (T2 in the 50.2xx), but I blew it in the following S-sections... :indiff:

Oh well, hopefully I will have some more time to run the race tonight.

Ooooh, promotions, now that got my attention. I just cut off another .3

t1 - 17.856 - bad, if only i could get that 17.589 again...
t2 - 49.311 -good :P

The end of my lap looks slower, but its .3 faster :P, youll see what i mean by slower if you watch th replay when i post it. I touched the grass on the inside while braking for the last corner, unfortunatly i was moving over to the right at the time, and the car spun round to the right a huge ammount, i had to drop into the 20's (Mph)

Tomorrow, when you have submitted your time for this race, you'll see your name on the results thread that will be posted.
Then, if you can run consistently top div3 times, you'll end up being promoted to div2. And there again, when you can run consistently top div2 times, you'll be promoted to div1.
But, hey, your skills will probably improve but it takes time. Many people also reach their limit (because they can't improve any more, or because they can't put any more time in practising), and they never get promoted.

Well I was gonna wait til tomorrow to do this, but I can't now that I know for certain Randy and I are gonna be seperated by .0xx's I *THINK*

EDIT KOLYANA USE THESE SPLITS:
T1 - 17.641
T2 - 49.267

I am behind Dan by .3 as of T2 but in the end I find myself behind him by more, ssssOOOooo... *IF* I have time tonight I'll make one last heroic stab at it.

IM sooooo getting smashed.. meh only put one hour into the race so far... and i thought i could get a decent time with one hour in... working 8 hour day today. might have a chance.. but unlikely im gonna be sooo buggered. Rob v Jeremy head to head, cant wait to see the finish line.. ill be that tiny spec in your rear vision mirrors. Nice splits jeremy 👍

Shoot. My splits suck. I'm over 1.5 seconds behind you and over .5 seconds behind Stinger. I have a half day to get that time lower. I want a win.
 
Time Submitted, its not worth the headache of trying to get my T1 down below .8 again for a good run when I may not gain much time during the rest of the lap. GL in the results Rob! :nervous: :scared:

Had another go at this.

T1 - 18.002 (Saw a 17.666...argh...)
T2 - 49.810

I'm not really happy with this, I'll be at least .5 off the D2 leaders....
 
MR. flat-out, I can reccomend 8 drivers in D2 that should(by their steller performances) be promoted to D1...they really, really, truely deserve it. Now don't let the fact that I'm currently ranked #9 enter into the equation, just pure coincidence. And I know that someone with your Devine Insight and Superior Intellect doesn't need my reccomendations, but I know how busy someone of your Stature must be, and how these trivial problems of ours can easily slip your mind, not that your forgetful sir I just meant you have more Importand issues to deal with.
