Well here's the fruit of my labors after 45min. on my wheel, its nothing short of ugly...lol

T1 - :17.392
T2 - :55.937

I ran one lap with my ds2 right after and smashed T2 by over a second....*sigh*... ;) but its SLOWLY coming around

Welcome back Jerome :)

I never normally post splits on the first night, but this'll get the ball rolling for me. (Casio, I seem to remember an age when I could chase you and be bumper to bumper, but man you've bloody improved ... I can't touch you nowadays!!!)

T1: 16.908
T2: 55.453

Edit: Although looking at my T1, there's hope for me yet ;)

Another half hour and I'm done for the first night, still nothing spectacular but getting the combo down.
T1 - :17.202 (saw a :16.8xx)
T2 - :54.628

Trimmed a TON of time at the end

I think I'm through with GT mode now. I don't even know my driving style much less want to drive with other people's settings where they are completely different from me. Every guide or whatever I read is by a retard telling me to put camber always at 2/1 or adjust here and they back that up with nothing which is ridiculous. Is not really fun anymore to play vs people that can just tune and have a car that is 10x better than mine.

Looks like a good combo, I like the car, and I need to get better at Seattle anyway, I ve never been good there..

Side note:
Can we PLEASE do a race with a car thats not fully modified some time?

I can run sub 16.8 pretty much everytime, but somewhere between there and T2 I'm losing .5 for sure ... when you're happy with your lap, maybe you could let me race your ghost?

Last week you almost had me! 0.1 in it!

Your times are looking pretty speedy this week too. Go for gold girl!

Some tips for everybody

- Brake for the first chicane early, and cut as much off as possible. On my current best lap my speed didn't drop below 100.
- On the little left - right before the T1 split. Cut as much off too, you can almost take it flat, I'm doing a little lift off.
- Try not to get any wheelspin going over the tracks.
- Brake early for the left just after T2, you get a better split braking late, but you lose a ton of speed down the hill.

Also, if anyone wants to take a look at my replay, I now have my Max Drive!!! (I'm just so excited about it, I want to post replays everywhere)

This sounds GOOD! Can't wait to have a go at it... I really should do some other stuff, but I think I'll play for a bit when I get home from my second job. That I'm about late for. ARGH!

This is *SO* p!ssing me off 🤬

I've had 16.6 a gazillion times, sub 55's a billion times AND I CAN'T HOLD IT TO THE END. ARGHRGHRGRHRGHRGRHRGRHRGRHRGRHRG

I remember now why I took a break from the WRS :grumpy:

Just spent an hour with the combo. Love the track, (as always) and the car is one of the best in the game. For a racecar it is rather sensitive to suspension setup. But anyway, here are my initial splits:

T1: 16.073
T2: 52.922

And here's my setup for anyone that's interested. I know that setup's are personal preference, but I always start with making the setup as easy to drive as possible, then work towards the edge as I get a feel for the combo. For me it eliminates a lot of initial frustration and lets me drive and get a feel for the potential. So this setup is very neutral and easy to drive, and it will take the curbs quite nice.

Brakes
5/5
Suspension
8.3/8.5
68/70
2/3
3/4
2.6/1.0
-1/0
5/6
gears at auto 11
aids at 2/2/1
downforce is full
LSD 9/30/5 (i know holl01 will hate this one. :sly: )

I'm taking the first chicane in 5th at about 115-120, then down to 3rd for the next left, up to 4th hard over the rumble, then hard early brake and down to 3rd at T1 to be able to shoot thru the next chicane and get setup for the run down the straight. ( I do have to tap the brakes slightly over the train tracks just to get it settled. )
Brake just before the first overhead sign at the end of the straight, and I'm going down to 2nd, but 3rd might be better. From here to T2 I haven't worked out a good line yet. There's so many bumps and such, plus I would like to use the cobblestone over the curbs, but the complete line for the combo just hasn't come to me yet. But anyway, I'm braking at the start of the rumble on the right and shifting down to 3rd at T2. Try to carry as much speed at this difficult but critical left hander which is off camber and downhill. Be sure to shift early and quick up to 5th going down the stairs working your way to the left as you go down, but keeping it absolutely straight on the jumps. Take the right at the bottom in 4th, then down to 2nd at the hairpin,(3rd might be better?) and up through the gears to finish. :)

Hope this helps some people get a good start this week and have fun with this great combo. 👍

Cheers all!
Steve

Reputation point given , 'Shunt 👍

New splits for me (Sorry Jerome, I couldn't resist!)
T1: 17.060 :yuck:
T2: 54:839 👍 getting there

I've been .5 faster at T1 pretty much every time except this one 🤬, so I know I can get at least .5 off at T2. I'm also losing time between there and the finish, so still lots to do.

Just don't push too hard Nat. Brake way earlier than you think, power thru the turns cutting the kerbs, and you will take huge chunks off your time. 👍 Smooth it thru.

The scary thing is that I'm not even close to what holl01, kart, hOt, and those guys will do this week. Looooooong way to go.

T1 - 16.420
T2 - 53.572

Once I can get start - T1 right, I'll be happy.

Oi, why the blasphemy ? I see no reason ...

No need to have a go at her mate. We all have our own opinions on that topic and this isn't the place.

CHRIST! SLOW DOWN~!
I was inspired by MinorShunt's unreal times. I've got no idea how he can get a 16.0x T1, the best I've seen is a 16.3x.

How is everyone taking the first chicane exactly? I'm positioning myself in the middle of the track, brake early and try to cut off as much as possible on both sides. If I try to take a wider angle, I just end up in the wall. I feel I'm losing loads of time here.

Arg!! I don't even have the car yet, lol. Guess I'll have to take 15 minutes away from this race to get me some wheels to atleast race in, haha.

I brake at the 100m(i think, whatever the first of the two is) sign, and smoothly get back on the gas, taking a line as straight as possible through there, using as much of the curbs as possible. Been down to... Nevermind, you're faster than me. Haha!

Anywho, seen 16.6xx at T1 so far, and I think? Maybe a 54.xxx, but I know for sure a 55.0xx something, which my current fastest lap is based on...

This track in reverse is a bit off, it just doesn't flow anywhere near as well as the other direction. I almost want to blame the car, but that can't be right... For too many of the turns, I find myself struggling to keep from understeering and going wide on the exit. I have to get on the gas later than I would like, too often. Then sometimes I somehow get grip in the middle of the turn and get to go fast, or something. I dunno, it's just like the track is cambered better for running the other direction, unless you get it just right. I'm sure with more time I'll hit it closer to just right more often though.

I'll report back with my splits in a bit after Pat stops chasing me...

I was using no TCS, but I think I'm going to turn the TCS on 1 and shorten my gearing some more, and start using second more often. I think having traction when exiting, and having the TCS limit my GO when I tromp back on the gas will help a little with these corner exits of mine. Oh yeah, this will also allow me to lower my LSD Accel hopefully, to permit the better turning on exit as well...

Alright, finally got me the GTR Race Car, but for some reason, it will only put down 692 HP for me.........did I miss something?? All I found you need to add is a Stage 4.

Never mind, forgot to do an oil change :ouch:

Edit:

After a quick 7 laps before bed, here's my first splits:

T1: 16.996
T2: 55.253

As you can see, losing quite a bit of time between T1 and T2, most of that at the train tracks, they tossed me around bad! Found a decent line after the hard right after the long straight, but still got tosssed a bit. The second interval is in a braking zone, so it's tough to get a great reading out of there. I am braking early too for that turn to set up for the steps. I stiffened up the rebound front and back a bit and reduced the spring rate a bit to try and get those train tracks working for me. More braking power towards the rear as well. We'll see what changes tomorrow night!!

I've been doing the leaderboard for the last three months :(

Before that, Luxy had handed on to Small_Fryz, so the last time Luxy really had time for it was easily 6 months ago.

But aside from that, you're BANG up to date :P
I actually thought jump ace was doing the leaderboard? Sorry. I've only been racing again myself since week 36. Week 10 was my last outing before that.

Anyway, good job with the leaderboard 👍

hahaha, i'm such a retard, i spent 45 mins running this combo only to realise that i was running it FORWARD, damn!

i came up with a decent setup though

9.6/10
66/73
2/2
5/5
2.7/1
3/4

gears auto 9

lsd 5/5/5

tcs at 1

down force level, unchanged.

BB unchanged

hope this helps anyone who is after a nice fast setup

looks like a good setup:tup: , exept why did u elect to use ASM at 2 for under and over steer, i have never ever used ASM in my life?? i cant use my DFP this week as when i press the right paddle to go up a gear, it changes up 2 gears in one press, any body know how to fix that?
