with a 5.5 litre twin turbo v12 diesel, with 700hp and and 1,200Nm of torque
... which they will use as a basis for their next year's le mans entry ...
very good andrew and george, so i'm not the only one following car magazines and newsletters.

One helluva car, I say. Peugeot for Le Mans victory! But isn't this gettin' off topic?

Couldn't beat my ghost in the last hour. I'll try tomorrow...

That's one ugly Peugeot, is that the best France can give us?
Meh....

What about this ?
renault-f1-team.gif

Or perhaps were you meaning 'road cars' only ?
bugatti.veyron.340.jpg

Is that the Renault F1 team, that's based in, and a chassis designed and built in Oxfordshire? With a Spanish driver, Italian driver and Team Principle? Although the Engine and Tyres are French.

And a Veyron, which is built by German company VAG. And is just badged a Bugatti. (If that's French, I'll stick a Alfa badge on mine and call it Italian)

 Cyril.

Norway (Belgium) 0

France 1

Might have to try a few of the cars with lower P/W ratios....Been using the TVR which is a fair way down the list...I need all the help I can get. :D

BTW, Cyril, like the new 'tar. 👍

um my supra rz has 6000kms on it but it has 883hp, should i put a few more km's on the odometer to get the power down?

I know it might sound harsh but anything over 859hp is an unfair advantage. At what point can the line between a 10km car being run in B-Spec be converted to the same used car...the only fair answer is when it reaches 859hp 👍

Right,
Just buy one secondhand with 40.000\50.000 km and avoid any troubles.

Update time with the Nissan '98.

21.472
41.996

I might give the RZ a go.

Renault is a french company, so yeah, the Renault F1 is a french car. Your point about drivers' nationalities is just irrelevant : the fact that you're driving a Cordoba (even a Turbo V8 one) doesn't make Seat an australian maker. And perhaps people in Oxfordshire are cheaper than in France. :D

Bugatti cars have been made on french ground since 1909. The brand belongs to VW since 1998. If that makes it german, then so are Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Seat, Skoda, Chrysler... and Aston Martin, Volvo, Mazda are then american. :trouble:

@Darren :
Yeah, there's a series of wheels by Momo named 'WRS', so I wanted to thank them for supporting us and for the free advertising they provide ;)

Cheers for allowing curbs, i hit a new best time yesterday by quite a way and was trying to get some pictures together for my argument. Now theres no need, i am clearly on the curb and not the the wall, i barely touch the curb at all. Its the right hander after the hairpin where i touch. I would upload a replay or even pics but as far as i can tell my maxdrive it broken!! For a while its been taking longer and longer to read the disk (up to 40mins), and now im fed up with it and probably wont be able to supply a replay this week. My PS2 doesnt even recognise the disk as being in the console, except for the noise of it trying to read the disk, there is no 'please insert a playstation format disk' error showing. So i can only assume my PS2 is against the maxdrive disk, and blue/purple disks which im also having trouble with. As i said i tried to get some photos together to show my innocence, but apparently the USB slots of my PS2 wont work either, and i failed to get a picture saved. I can only hope that in a week i can get the maxdrive to work once at least so i can get a replay up, which i think i might need this week. Anyway thats enough of me rambilng on about nothing much, heres my new splits

21.504
42.062
my 2 fastest ever splits, lost quite abit on the corner after t1, but apart from that, as fast as i can go in the 300zx '89

I'm not sure I understand the difference between curb and kerb. I've always thought that the curb was the hollow part (gutter) between the road and the kerb.
Am I wrong ?

Edit : engine wear test moved down.

Ive always understood them to be the same thing, just spelt differently, i'll have to check...

Google (Google knows all) and Wikipedia (Wikipedia knows alot)
curb: an edge between a sidewalk and a roadway consisting of a line of curbstones (usually forming part of a gutter)
or...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curb_(road)
Kerb:A hard stone like granite or good-quality pre-cast concrete used for bordering a road and limiting the footway.
or...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerb

Well that didnt clear much up  I guess 'curb' is the word were looking for.

Re ran my time with the old 300zx, and man did I blast it. Ill be posting splits when Im not lazy.... again.

What car were you in previously? Mister lazy... :p

They've always been allowed, haven't they? Anywho, sucks about your PS2!!! Have you already tried the cleaning and adjusting methods?

I assumed they might not be counted as they weren't that obviously away from the wall. Guess i was wrong, and panicked in the fear of being DQ.

No, ive not tried much, what methods would they be? I found http://arstechnica.com/articles/paedia/hardware/ps2.ars, but theres no chance im doing that.

B-spec Bob is busy driving a brand new Pesky for a thorough engine wear test experiment.
Code:
     0 km : 995 hp
   524 km : 995 hp (- 0.0%)
 1,493 km : 993 hp (- 0.2%)
 2,463 km : 988 hp (- 0.7%)
 4,518 km : 979 hp (- 1.6%)
 5,890 km : 972 hp (- 2.3%)
 8,575 km : 960 hp (- 3.5%)
 9,702 km : 954 hp (- 4.1%)
 [I]still running...[/I]
 target : 934 hp (- 6.1%)
(All powers noted down after an oil change).
The idea is to see how many kms he needs to drive to bring the car power down to what is shown in the replay (934 hp).

Edit :
What is clear so far is that 6,000 km is far from being enough to match an used car power.
It looks like B-spec Andrew will have to jump back in the Supra, or (easier), than A-spec Andrew will have to buy a used Supra RZ.

Took the Supra RZ for a spin and came up with:

20.913/41.189

I'm hoping I can get at least .5 yet.

How can you view you T times without joting them down while watching the gost replay. I've tried the analyzer but I cant really figure it out.

Btw I'm new here I've just given my registration time to Flat-out hope he gets me an answer soon so I may participate this week.

21.337 41.618 those are my current t times.

My car is the 99 N1 GTR

When you save your fastest lap,go to replay theatre.
There is your lap and you can watch it and write your T-times down.
Also a good moment to see if it is within the rules.

anyway,welcome to the wrs.:)

New car ,new times..

21.001 R
41.076 Z

Flippin' showoff. :)

Tried a few cars a bit nearer the bottom of Flattie's list...No improvement over my times with the TVR. :(

The RZ kick's the speed 6's arse down the straight, I just can't get it round the corners. :dunce:

Thinking about submitting my board time?
