 Im guessing it was a way of combatting understeer on these beasties:D

its not really understeer when you're exceeding the grip of all four tires to cause it.

I checked MINICOOPER120 replay and it's clean:tup:.
Also here's my replay.

And tonite I will check Dr_Watson's replay.

Edit:
I checked your replay and it's close but clean.

A new great tip from Holl01 there. My understanding was that getting sideways would slow you down?
Yep, for some cars on some tracks with certain tires it can be faster to slide a bit more.

My replay that I posted before is NTSC for those interested. I don't have access to my PS2 for the next three days, so I can't check any replays for now... :guilty:

Yes, the drifting on the Stingray, in such a track, enabled faster exit out of the corner, since it basically "enlarged" the radius, I guess. I did it too, and that's what helped me get a gold...

I checked KLR142's replay and it's clean:tup:.
And I know it's slow but could someone check mine.

no, drifting a car like this enables u to carry more velocity during a corner while achieving similar exit speed as to that of a non drifter. drifting doesnt mean u carry mor speed out of a corner, it just results in a faster entry:tup:

I knew there was something wrong with my explanation. Thanks!

Checked AngelCreator's NTSC replay file. 👍

Dodge Charger Super Bee 426 Hemi '71 : 412hp, RD/RD tyres. All clean. Nice lap! :)

No worries, James!
Nice to see a lap in another unorthodox car, not the Charger 440 R/T or Corvette Stingray! Love the yellow & black paintjob, very appropriate for the "Super Bee"! Even though it won't count for anything, would you mind having a look at the 'Cuda lap I posted on the first page?

I got a reply back from Cyril today, he didn't get my PM which is a shame, but I've agreed, of course, that my result won't stand in the results here, since it wasn't received by the WRS administrator in due time. Bizarre that it looked to have sent but never did. Oh well, there's always another WRS week to come back to, and I always love the challenge of a tricky road car and a tormenting course! 👍 I'm not much for the hyper-powered race cars.
I'll see you guys around again soon hopefully.

Updated.
I'll take a look at Andrew's and Darren's replays.

Can someone upload Dan's replay ?
Many say it was clean, and it's not that I don't trust them but I'd like to have the replay for the WRS archive.

Hey, that was from my PC...

EDIT: But then again, you're the one with 10-times more space then I have...

Meanwhile, I checked both remaining PAL replays which are ok.
Results are now official.

 Cyril.

I'll try and get it up a bit quicker next this week...ooh-er!

Darren.

Hi again, Cyril. Check post #42 here. I OK'd AngelCreator's lap.
I'd hate him to miss out on a green flag too. :)
