For some reason my old splits are back on the leader board :scared:

Can this be fixed the 2nd sector times i posted are back there? Thanks
 
Hmm... 4th-gear only? Sounds good... With the monstrous torque that the Cappuccino develops (for a 0.6l engine, at least), it should be possible.

Ben, it's nice to have you back. And Steven: Beating my first non-DRE lap (3rd total) is not a big feat, you should be able to to it.

So far, my killer was the turn after T1. I never got the hang of it... My last corner is good though - the lowest speed through it is ~95KM/h.
 
I guess I need more than 5 laps in the CAP. Very close competition. I'm in last place in div2 and i'm barely a second off the leader of div1. I guess thats because of the lower hp.
 
I actually dip down into third after T1... Staying in fourth there is crazy, but I guess you MAY be able to get it work. I'm not going to mess with it though.

Andrew, are you staying in fourth the whole time?

EDIT: Just read that it was Metar that said he'd try out 4th gear the whole time... Trust me, do NOT do it. It will in no way be beneficial to you. 3rd gear's fast enough for me through there, and I can challenge the top time on the board right now if I had enough days to go at it, lol.

Won't be much help for me though...Best T2 so far was a 46.613 in the EA21R. Hopefully I can go a bit quicker tonight when I'm racing at a more agreeable hour than last nights session, don't drive tired!

Thanks for all the testing Kyle, saves my wasting my time going back to slower cars...Roundy roundy cars, lol, I suppose we should've expected that from a Volvo driver. ;)

I actually went to 3rd in three places, and got to 2nd (!) in that turn after T1... So anything would be more beneficial that what I'm doing right now.

Just done a few more laps with the '95 cup 'a' caffeine (how many more of these coffee related pseudonyms can we come up with before the deadline???) and can't get any faster than my ghost so far...Not clean anyway, seen a high 44 at T2 though so with a bit more practice...:D

I know you do, I meant shockwave. :) I guess I might have to toy with it again... It all depends on where you shift from third to fourt too though. Makes a huge difference. I'm shifting around 70mph/just before, something like 7000 rpm. For some of the div. 3 people though, I don't see any benefit what so ever to staying in fourth the whole time. You have to really concentrate on maintaining speed if you're going to be in fourth.

:lol: Good one! Haha, the Copen reminds me of the Beetle(new one), but it's not quite as tall and half moon ish... When you lower it and put wheels on it, it's pretty sweet! Still kinda chick looking with all the circles, but still. Not as bad as I first thought the car was.

Also, for those of you who are downshifting into third gear ONLY when you're braking right AT the T1 line, make sure you shift out of third somewhere near 7000rpm. Anything too higher is slower.

EDITI've just managed a pretty good lap by my standards. The shock must've done something to my head as I saved the replay not the ghost replay by mistake...My fast lap is lap 4 of 5 laps, can I still submit this if it turns out to be my quickest effort? I'm assuming it won't be required as a gold lap verification as there are still quite a few D2'ers above me but I don't like submitting without posting a replay.

T2 44.927
 
I gave this one a go too. First in the Beat, but it really can't keep up. Still fun to drive, managed a 45.0 T2.

Then switched to the Cappuccino. Rocksolid handling and easy to find the limits in it :)
T1 23.899
T2 43.981

DS2 as I need to fix my pedals...

Also seen a 43.8, but that last section is the easiest part to lose time. Everything in 4th gear, except the corner after T1. Just make sure you shift at around 7000rpm like Kyle stated too 👍

Lol, yeah, I just meant that my current fastest lap was probably faster than your last one...

And it seems I won't have as much time as I wanted to tonight... We'll see if I can accomplish anything.

Had a breif session just before, i was suprised how much difference it makes when you leave it 4th the whole time (excpet just after T1). Overall .677 faster than my previous best lap 👍. Lost around .2 on the last corner, so im not quite at my limit yet...

T3: .24 faster than before!!! WOAH! Heck yes!

May submit this lap, I'm happy with all of it. Haven't seen corners that add up to much more than a tenth faster, if even that... Coolness! I guess we'll see if I can find some more time in it either tonight or before the week's over. I'll be happy with submitting this time though, yes, yes indeed! 👍👍👍 Loving this week madly Colby!

Ahhh... So you don't actually know what I was talking about when I said filler... I'm basically on episode 200 something. I've been watching the japanese version with english subtitles for a couple years now. :) You're still in the good stuff if you're watching it on TV. I watched one of the american TV versions, and it felt wieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerd. Different voices saying many more things. :)

nah mate i drop it into third for the left hander after T1, and for the final corner, other than that i stay in 4th...
 
I've been staying in 4th for the whole thing. Been debating on shifting down to third after t1... but not gotten around to it yet.

I'm getting mid 44's at T2 in the Cappu. Was doing the AZ-1, but not nearly enough grip, though alot more fun ;)

And for the last turn, don't drop into 3rd, there is no need to.

:lol: I noticed that. If it wasn't for your time on the leader board it would be in perfect order :lol:

On a side note, isn't the battle between Ren-Tec and KLR142 getting interesting! Only .004 between there T2 times :scared: It's going to be close!
