:: GT4 WRS Week 89 ::
Glad to see that many racers liked the Xsara on a twisted track such as Autumn Ring.
Let's now proceed to something different.
What about 700+ hp on sports tyres ?
Wicked you think ?
And what if I add that you'll have to drive that beast at speeds over 200mph ?
Yeah, that's it : evil

Kickass. I'm headed home right now to go and attempt LAST week's race! I had a few laps(on RSH no less!) on another track in this car though, so maybe that'll help me get into it a little quicker. :)

I have been wanting to run a Skyline since I started the WRS. Of course I am away on business in Orlando this week :ouch:

I hope I can squeeze in some time this weekend... killer combo. :bowdown:

you are an evil man Flat-Out! i bet the wife enjoys your evil side... ;)

getting the mind out of the gutter now, this looks to be fun will run it later...

If only the week's title was actually in the game.... :(

To be 'first'...if only for a fleeting moment! This is my big break...the first time posted in the thread.:)

T1= 36.128
T2=1:15.043
T3=1:45.512
T4=2:11.351
T5=2:43.482
T6=3:17.567

I guess I can post the first 5 sectors...?

It's going to take some real skill to smooth this thing out and get down to a good race time, but that's my prelim....

With a few more laps...

T1=35.352
T2=1:14.191
T3=1:44.491
T4=2:10.124
T5=2:42.502
T6=3:16.722

DF Wheel....The old 'Driving Force' model

Wow this one is fun because i love the skyline but iv never driven Sarthe 1 before. On the first five laps i blow straight throught the fist chicane on the main straight. I just couldn't get it to stop in time lol.
Ok here my first splits for this one.

T1: 35.074
T2: 1'14.442
T3: 1'45.184
T4: 2'10.564
T5: 2'42.568
T6: 3'16.639

Woooo! I'm gonna have to get in on this one. heck, new year, good a time as any to get back into this wrs thing for a while. i might just stick around. 💡

35.071
1'13.694
1'44.504
2'09.691
2'41.360
3'15.582

bit of time to make yet, probably another 2 seconds...will get stuck into it a bit more later...

sounds like an awsome combo, noticed a typo in the race rules specifics:

'You can use any tarmac area anywhere where there is no rumble strip.'

sorry to be picky:dopey:

well what he said was a bit grammatically awkward but it looks ok to me...

This week is the most evil I have ever seen:scared:, I like it:trouble:.(we need a evil smile)

aaahhhh ... do i love this combo. the car is the best skyline of all (jointly with the nur one by nissan) and le mans is ... fabutastic. can you come back more often, cyril? :) no offense colby 👍

now about a real title for the week ... what about 'tuner Japanese at frog's nest'?

first impressions: car and track are great, but it is NOT suited to drive around on sports tyres at these speeds. again lessons to be learned in estimating braking points. if that is under control swift times can be set. tcs off is fun but neckhair-raising at times. i wish myself and all else good luck this week!

first splits.

T1: 36.113
T2: 1'16.694
T3: 1'47.785
T4: 2'13.832
T5: 2'46.786
T6: 3'21.378

never played this track much aside from being forced to by races. havent played GT in a while either. lol Lots of quirks to work out with the car too. hoping these times come down allot.

Wow, that should be fun... I'll try now, and get the leaderboard out when I get back from school...

EDIT: First impressions: Car handles great, sounds good, looks better than most Skylines - and the track gives me DREs when exiting to the race-menu 👎
I'll try the other disk later on. My knowledge of Circuit de la Sarthe is limited to going fast down the straight in the Unchicaned version, and watching Bob do endurances on it.

omg... im serious.. i seriouly dreamt it would be this track.... omg.....

im soo in

To those who don't know the track much : first thing to do will be to find the braking points, since most of the time braking when you see the turn will be wayyyyyyyyy to late.

Grammar corrected in post #1.
Both options look equally awkward to me ;)

... and more appropriate smiley added to post #1.

Good looking combo Cyril. 👍

Will you be keeping a French theme for the duration of your brief return to stewardship? :sly:

I'll have to get my engine back in before giving this a go but I've been a-specing endurance races on my new gamesave so I've had a bit of practice at La Sarthe very recently. :D

Darren.

T1: 34.175
T2: 1'13.038
T3: 1'43.479
T4: 2'08.857
T5: 2'40.366
T6: 3'14.245

Dfp

Ol' A-Spec Fiz' is kicking strong in his home field, eh? After both endurances, FGT, 1000 Miles, I bet you know that track by heart... Excellent times! Whats with the T1-T2 though?

After 3 long laps I managed ...

36.702
1'15.472
1'45.645
2'11.464
2'43.676
3'18.463

Quite a smooth drive for such high HP, a bit of understeer but I can see a big improvement from these splits in not too long.

after few laps on this AWESOME track i have this:

0.35.317
1.14.031
2.10.421
2.42.827
3.17.374

im racing using DS2

it seems like i lost huge time on t5 and t6

I'll give this a try in a bit, should be interesting though I have always preferred the R32 to the R34.

Probably some DFP action again... need to get unlazy and get it back out again.

new splits, sorta.

T1: 36.123
T2: 1'15.546
T3: 1'46.672
T4: 2'12.463
T5: 2'45.395 <-messed up a wee bit on the final turn of the sector
T6: 3'19.998
and then it went dirty

Hoping to AT LEAST tack a clean final sector onto those trap times not really happy with T4, and obviously not T5. back to the cockpit.

I tried this a little today, got a 3:16:0xx at T6. And it's like last week too in
that the car has oversteer when it shouldn't:scared:. Oh well, try again tomorrow.

CRXnut
3'16 sounds ok, I'm having hard time breaking the 3'20 barrier :-)

It was only a few laps, just wanted to see what the car drove like.
I think this week will be as hard as last week:(.
