GT4 WRS Week 89 : "Sweet Child o' Mine"

I had a quick try on this last hour!

did 5 laps and got

T1 35,965
T2 1'15,533
T3 1'46,377
T4 2'11,751
T5 2'44,348

,,, fun combo with nice car,,,

will have some better splits tomorrow when i got more time:)
 
New splits, clean this time.

T1: 35.938
T2: 1'15.939

this car is wierd. it understeers one minute and oversteers the next. feels like your pushing it too hard in one instance, and in the verry next instance. makes you feel like your going to slow. Maby it's just the track. Meh, i'm a sucker for high horsepower. At this point i'd still love to knock about two or three seconds off my final time.

hehe welcome to the real world of 4wd;) if u get ur as out just put the pedal trough the floor and keep wheels steady;) i was about to s**t my pants while getting 4 wheel slide along a cliff wall with my friends evo:scared: but when u get a grip on it its quite fun:)👍

maby if you've got the TCS on. haha. yeah this thing is a beast but i love AWD. it's just been so long since i've actualy raced in GT. Just spending my time just playing around, mostly sideways.

btw i just knocked off those two seconds i was talking about. :sly: nothing spectacular with the splits except for a 1"15.1 at T2 and a 2'44 at T5.

The second chicane is giving me heck. i keep breaking WAY to early for it.

hehe ok:) the chicanes aint my prob! its the last to long right and left turns. grrr

ye i finaly got some structure and lines down on this track now! but i think there still room for improvment! my tricky part ias after t4 and 5
 
Not sure if i'm going to enjoy this combo, not a big fan of the larger tracks. But I do like this car, so i'll give it a quick session later on tonight.
 
well spent a quick half hour or so and managed to get it down to 3'12.2xx at t6 but nothing clean yet, any rule on the amount of speed u can carry at the start line, in terms of if ur allowed to cut the chcikane directly b4 that? i wasnt cutting

i thought about that too, and have been doing it, and i cant see a problem with it coz it isn't on the actual lap... also it would be very hard to police who was and wasn't doing it...

If I say "no shortcutting before lap start", the only way to enforce that rule will be to set a maximum speed allowed at the start line and check replays to make sure that the speed is not too high.
That would for sure cause endless discussions and arguments so I'll go for the only option that doesn't require any extra administration : "do whatever you want before the lap start".
Anyway, the extra speed will only be profitable to close-to-perfect laps, and since each turn of this combo is a great occasion to lose a handful of tenths it won't change anything to most of us. Only the aliens will care much.
 
This discussion has been going on before several times. There's a sort of gentleman's agreement not to cut off before the lap started. Feel free to do so anyways, but I think you must be ashamed of yourself when you do and also when you come up with this question anyway 👎
 
cutting the chickane requires less movements and waisting of time, so its all good now, be back later with some clean splits, my estimates on whats possible at t6 is 3'10.9xx now that the chikane can be cut.
 
I wont be racing this one this week as I dont think I have the patience for going off 2 minutes+ into each lap :sly:

Seems like this will be quite an eventful week. Regarding this combo, and the fact that my next quarter at school starts today, but I'll try to get something in by the weekend. This seems like it'll be one of those weeks where I'll never be happy until 2 in the morning the night before.

did about 10 laps to again remember the track and get a clue of braking points for this insane combo/tyre combination.
my trick is to reduce the weight by only 5% and use tcs for optimal control of this car. braking should be done a bit earlier but stability seems a lil' better. these are my t's for my fastest sort of clean lap.

L about 4 seconds above my goal for this week.
i know it's slow but i like to post early and then improve lots!
 
Not having much fun/luck with this one. I know the track well (ran both 24hr enduros in november) but this combination of no downforce and sport tires just doesn't feel right.
I will dedicate some more time to this later in the week.
I could only manage 3'18 T6 on clean lap.
 
hmm! hehe looks like everyone complaining about this combo=/ i just love it! nice amount of traction and feel f the car! but on other hand i realy hated the last combo:) so i think it shows what cars i prefer to drive in game;)

Now why would that happen(hey put down that torch). Just go to the tuner's
garage and go to Mine's and buy it. Didn't try this today, most likely try it tonite.
(which is bad because that's what time I set my time last week:trouble:)

I'm really happy with all but T6. and i cant lie to myself that i didnt slack off in the final stretch. not done for sure but i'm going to have a hard time duplicating this, maby.

Had one wheel on in the 90 degree turn immidiately after T5.
 
I found the true reson why this week is evil,

"Do not go beyond the rumble strip when there is any. You can use any tarmac area anywhere there is no rumble strip."

That's just plain evil, anyways here is my first clean run.
