Haven't started on this combo yet, been busy... Hopefully I'll get around to it soon though!!!

Make sure you ALL of you guys are using the wing. I assume some have left it out? Maybe not. 👍

:dopey: Now I feel better.
After wing addition splits
19.490
37.270
56.702

I am giving mullen_power13 a rep point as well, because it was a good thing to
say that I posted has time faster than it was. Anyways I have not tried this again
but with the faster T's by GPkart I may try it tomorrow and see if I can go faster.

Well here is another leaderboard update(I will try to get it right this time:()

LeaderBoard

Tweaked a few settings, did some fine tuning on the tranny, and turned in the following:

T1 - 0'19.754
T2 - 0'38.175
T3 - 0'59.189
Lap: annihilated previous time :sly:

Well Kelvari my friend, we are really in contention because i have improved my time also.

t1-19.692
t2-38.644
t3-58.959

I found how to take the corkscrew a little faster. Now it all depends on who made that last sectre faster.

DAN:nervous: 👍

Ha HA! I have faster T times:D.
T1-18.907
T2-36.656
T3-55.640
Hey jump-ace, look, I'm comen for ya!:trouble::lol:!
I'm happy with these T times, and If I push hard, I can go a little faster.
There you go. Laters.

Since it's only ~1/5 of a second between our T3s, this could get very interesting when they show the final scores

:D Pulled a rabbit out of the hat. Improved approx. 1 sec in T3 but not that much in overall :grumpy: oh well, still the weekend. It is good to get my gran turismo thumb back after not playing for so long.

19.219
36.704
55.675

My set up is full down force, 80mm ride height, 2.5 Front camber 1.5 Rear, and tranny auto 10, and I am running 110 octane fuel

small update

'18.989
'36.396
'55.044

Compared my sectre times with those on the scoreboard and t1 and t2 are slower t3 is only .100 faster, but my lap is .500 faster! WEIRD!!! Here are my new splits.
t1-19.819
t2-38.828
t3-58.943

Finally found me some AERODYNAMIC wheels:lol: .

DAN:tup:

WELL NOW. :sly:

huge thanks to OldDriverDan for a tranny setup, and it looks like i'm back in the game.
nightmarehunter, i'm comin for ya.

New splits:
T1: 19.070
T2: 36.824
T3: 55.818

The lap was clean up to T3 but unfortunately i had an off between then and the finish. Time to see what else i can tweak, and to either match, or better these times.

[EDIT]
just matched my T3 on a clean lap.

Nice T's. You to OldDriverDan. Nice. Laters

Sammy

THANKS YOUNG LADY!!

DAN like my club car in FORZA on my Avatar that was painted by one of my club members, and is the car that came in 2nd in the 1969 Le Mans race.

First time in the 55's, but around .25 off at T3 only yielded .70 off at the end, I guess it's time for me to pick a gearing and stay with it.

19.093
36.756
55.905

I tried this today but I didn't go any faster but I think I will try one more time(after I fix my DFP:().

And here is another leaderboard update:).

Well that's a good time, glad I'm not in div1:D.

Guess I'm going to have to devote either today or tomorrow to this (or perhaps both) instead of plowing ahead with the 1st of June (or is it 15th of July) run.

Nice Splits Sammy! You have done well this week that is for certain :D Keep it up, wish I had more time to race as of late but had to go boarding yesterday and errands to run today for the week. Weekends seem to fill up fast sometimes don't they?

Jerome

Have a new time an splis to submit.

t1-19.680
t2-38.438
t3-58.793

using inferno's setup with a little tweak, and my gearbox.

Thanks inferno, DAN

Oh how I hate when that happens. After getting my first sub-19 t1 of 18.889, I get a T2 around 35.5xx, and then.... in the fast left hander after the bridge, I succeed in throwing it off the track. Wonderful... But at least I now know why I've been so slow, and have completely changed my braking point for the corkscrew, and my fastest cleanest lap is now a 55.7xx.

rmk700
Well you should be Div 1..:boggled:

Maybe it will be this week;). Unless mullen beats me again this week:scared:.

Edit:
Here is a leaderboard update for everyone:).

I most likey won't get another time. So unless inferno dosen't get another time. I should be able to win. But i don't know. Laters.

I doubt I am even going to get close to your time this week mate, but I'll try. Going for my last session now, be back soon with some (hopefully) faster times.

Well no matter what i do i cant seem to break into the 18's with T1, none the less i've been seeing 36 T2's and 55 T3's all night, but i keep managing to throw all the good ones. Normaly i would submit tonight but i'll hold off just in case i feel like giving it annother go tomorow. there's more in there and i'm sooo close to grabing it.

Over the weekend here I thought I'd just give this a few laps to see if the combo was any good.

No more than 20 or 30 laps, I said.

Some 700km later, I was still inching the time down and fiddling with the setups.

T1: 0'18.835
T2: 0'36.210
T3: 0'54.795

I think I've gone a different way with setup compared to others; since this car weighs virtually nothing I see no reason for hugely stiff springs. My settings are softer than the standard racing suspension. Though, I believe that suspension settings this week don't make a lot of difference, since we're running on R5s. The grip from these tyres is such that you could probably run the suspension from a horse-drawn wagon and still set a reasonable pace. I've just tried to make the car a bit less jumpy and easier to drive.

My gearing is also fairly simple, using only 3rd, 4rd and 5th for the entire lap. The engine has a huge, flat torque curve and takes forever to change gear, my solution was to leave the gearing at auto 14 and just made 4th gear a little taller so I wouldn't bump the limiter at T2 or just after T3. After Jerome mentioned it, I tried the tranny trick but I'm certain it's slower, because the time lost in the gearchanges is greater than the benefit of tighter gearing.

If anyone's interested in trying them, here are my settings

Springs: 7.5 / 5.7
Height: 107 / 107
Bump: 4 / 4
Rebound 6 / 6
Camber 2.5 / 1.3
Toe -2 / 0 (this is optional, not sure if it works. 0 / 0 is ok)
Stabiliser 4 / 3

Wing: 30 / 30

Gearing: Auto 14 then make 4th taller (lower number) to about 1.390. I used 3rd gear for the first and last corners and the corkscrew, 4th gear for the rest of the corners with 5th on the straights.

I agree with the softer suspension, no real reason to be stiffer, and Laguna can benefit from somewhat softer, I think, with the corkscrew anyway.

I haven't played much at all, but when I did the other day, I noticed that a negative value for toe did help neutralize the car a little bit, although I started with some in the rear before I also added some in the front.
