Waow ! 4 people will submit for the Road Car race ! Nice to see...
BTW, I practice a little bit yesterday evening : best lap in 1'24.4 and I improved my total race time by 12 seconds.
I also tried the Race Car but didn't find yet a good way to get into first spot cleanly.
 
Grrrr, I might not be able to do this, because I might be going away this weekend! If my step brother isn't comping down this weekend I will be able to do it! Maybe I can get it done on friday or before I leave.
 
I should be able to submit a time for the race car.
It probably wont be that quick as I've not touched the PS2 for a week now due to moving etc...
 
Times posted for both the Race Car and the Road Car.
Race Car time is certainly crap but at least it's clean ;) (I started 5 seconds after green light so that AI don't **** up my race.
 
Ive got a quickest lap of 1.15 in my race car race. Im not too bad with the AI though, I get past the gt-one by halfway through the first lap then just sit behind the 390 for the whole race.

I might run it again today but a time is on its way.

Flat-Out, you should get in the mix with the AI, its no good sitting waiting till they've gone !!!
 
Time submitted - It includes a 1.14.588 lap in the race car.

We'll see this time how many entries we get and if we get a few I'll post a results thread for us with times as well.

So Radicool, when all the times are in - send me a PM with the total times and racers and I'll make a results thread with points etc ..... (if you still want to do it that way that is??)
 
Do you want me to PM you the times for both rounds or just this one?

I tried for a while. I did about 20 races with the AI, it usually took me 1 lap to get in 1st spot but the GT-One or R-390 always hit me during while I was braking, so I never had a clean race that way. I decided to let them go so that I could save a clean race, then I didn't have much more to practice when this was saved... So here it is.
 
you're in the road car right ? I totally forgot, Im in the race car and when you get in front you can stay infront. Ah well nevermind.

The weeks are over for Laguna - How did YOU do ???

Daan had practised with the Road Car last week. Perhaps 2 weeks for a single race is too long.

Im out of this one - Apologies Radicool but theres just not enough interest. The third race hasnt even been posted yet and we finished race 2 half a week ago now.

It was good racing - I'll be back if theres something else that catches my eye.

 
I'm putting the results up soon. I reckon this series if over.:( Should I do the next race?
 
Results are up. Also, I reckon I am going to cancel the series, because as James said, there just isn't enough intrest anymore. I might wait a bit and start a new OLR series, even bigger and and better(I hope) Any one lie enduro's?:D
 
I think indeed that the races were too long (5 laps in hard mode against AI) and the time between 2 races was also too long. I'll keep an eye on the next interest check, thanks for this anyway Radicool, I don't dislike the GT40 as much as I did before this series (but still a little bit).
 
I'll keep on checking to see whats on offer as well. I too dont dislike the GT40 or the cup or radicool for that matter !!!!!

Hopefully we'll be racing again soon.

Blake and I were thinking about an endurance series, and the races wound the the gran turismo mode endurances.
 
I'm afraid the races would even last longer : do you imagine racing a 2h enduro and get bumped into by AI on last lap ? Would you do the whole thing again to get a clean replay ?
I think that people are more interested in short events than in long ones.
 
Ok. Anyway, I also thought about an Elise 190 series or a Mustang series.
 
Ive turned over to the weekly race series.

Its regular.
There are plenty of drivers every single week.
It only lasts a week so doesnt get boring.
The weeks are very very different from each other.
There is always someone who is quicker than you so you can learn from them.

 
@ Blake and Radicool : I didn't want to discourage (the word exists in french, I hope it also exists in english) you from organizing events. Perhaps you'll find people interested in long events, but I work more than 50 hours a week, have a wife and 3 kids and therefore I have not much time for playing.
I'm also in the Weekly Series, which have indeed all the advantages BigJames mentions.
You should run in the Weekly with us, so that you'll see what people can be interested in, and then you'll manage to organize something that matches people's interest. Give it a try.
