GT5 1.11 Update scheduled for 29/8/11

GT5 has the worst community out of all games.
Many people want everything and without any effort.

One question, why do those people even play GT5 - go play NFS, you can buy a DLC from PSN store which unlocks all the cars for you. To be honest, GT5'd need that too!
Would keep all the glitchers away.

I have almost all cars and I bought every single one of them, their price is what makes them special.

PD doesnt listen at all to the community, thus making its fanbase angry.

Because im sure a Toyota Prius was a community requested car.
 
Are you seriously saying the fans should have all the say in everything that goes on with PD's work? Enough is enough. Gran Turismo has always been about the wide variety of cars. You expected the car list (premium/standard doesn't matter, not everything should be done the way we want) to be completely different than the past GT's have shown us. It's like telling your boss how you want him to make your coffee. Or how he should make his own coffee. Either way, it's asinine to expect everything. Not everybody wants only supercars.

Great sarcasm, by the way. We sure don't get enough of it, buddy pal.

That is fairly typical of a simulator, as opposed to arcady games which have things locked. It's simply a desire for PD to focus on making GT fun.

Well tha's not enterily true:

1.- No porsche
2.- No day-night realtime change
3.- no dynamic weather
4.- No rally
5.- At this point there's tracks than fans asked for and seems they're not in the game

The low powered cars are cool. GT5 has a very good car balance. Gran Turismo series are famous for having that variety.
Too bad they don't put hyper cars only for the kids to crash.

Just REMEMBER what the developer said: they needed more time to complete the game. How hard is that to understand? The updates are because they don't listen to the community, then?

Theres no patch for the last time! Theres only the gordon thing and "maybe" one bug fix....

If things goes as planed, we should here in europe, or scandinavia where im living.
 
I am not a fan of Gordon. However his gear is pretty decent looking.


Sure hope the update is soon. No matter how small. It's fun to speculate and then finally get to see for yourselves.

Anyway subscribed. Hope you guys stay open and can be resourceful for update info.

That "maybe" it's the one I'm talking about, Kaz by hmself said about the patch to fix a "memory problem" for today at this time in his twitter account

Dont forget that Kaz's "maybes" are usually changed to "soons" which in real terms means "10 months"

You made the statement about maybe, Kaz by himself told about the date in his twitter ( August 29th in America at 11 pm ET, August 30th in Asia and Europe) obviously could be some more/less time difference with the hour he scheduled in twitter

they announced the patch but not exactly what it would fix. All we know is that the "out of memory issue" is patched. What that means no one knows...
 
Kaz just tweeted that 1.11 started in Japan and will go live in NA in a couple of minutes
 
downloading in toronto. 62 mb in size. i can't wait for the shoes gear. :rolleyes:

Got it over here too. Now to wait... let's see... it says 40 min... then 20... it's taking about 1 minute actually. Wonder what's inside. Installation complete.

Patch notes? The news thingy in the top right? Wasn't there. Not online so ya know. Or should I say, under maintenance.
