Well then, I guess in public lobbies "pros" don't often show up. With the way they swear in some of those, I wouldn't be surprised.

Like I said, 235 out the tunnel with stock transmission and no adjustments... and it wasn't even using 6th gear. That's at least "up there" with what most people in public lobbies run, including one guy with an ugly lime green MP4-12C, bragging about it was faster than a McLaren F1 (not likely), and about the "insane gears" someone had sent him which required him to launch in third and let him leave the tunnel at 240 in 7th. Imagine his shock when I said, completely without emotion, "235 in 5th..."

If hes launching it in third he's wasting the best part of the MP4-12C. You have to use all 7 gears in that car, then it's pretty quick.

Look, it's not all about topspeed. Some cars have just an insane start or midrange pull, but bad topspeed. Others suck at the lauch (like the speed 12). It's not that easy.

Man, we had a bad start here.
But I could show you how it is in the lobbies I'm usually are (ore was....) and tell you a couple names of the top tuners out there. Just if you want.

EDIT: Launch in 3rd gear is an absolutely no-no in tunnel drag. That MP4-12C must be slow.

How about this: give me a reference speed for an average ACR at SSR7, and I'll tell you what this car is (one guess was close but no one has it yet).

(Depending on what that speed is, it could lead to some rather interesting conclusions).

There is no three-pointed star anywhere on this car.

I do have an SL600 though, and I'll have to tune it up sometime. Sounds too good to ignore.

No.

If you've seen it driven by anyone but me, it's probably not the car I'm talking about. Like I said, it tends to get overlooked.

I pretty much gave it away by saying a previous guess was close and then denying it was a Mercedes.

Depends on the tune, but 245/246mph is normal. 247mph is possible.

Lol, then it's the Viper?

Viper GTS-R Concept '00. Like I said, 235 in 5th, and based on what I've seen from quick adjustments to FC transmissions, I could easily see this thing matching an ACR, even with less power.

This could lead to some rather interesting conclusions. Either the ACR has a narrower powerband requiring super-specific gears and launch trickery, or its downforce ruins its top end.

Should be interesting to see.

It's ranked #63 in the "top speed of GT5 cars" thread at 237 mph. Maybe this is old data though, or possibly it's the reason there's not more of them around?

Yes it really is overrated BUT it still doesnt match up with an acr I tuned it countless times already and it is one of my favorite vipers specially with 1000+ torque also the most torque of all vipers...also 241- 242 in the tunnel not 237

Yeah, this thing's got just about enough torque to alter the rotation of the earth.

I love cars like that, you can skip the whining FC transmission for most use becuase they'll pull hard from just about any RPM.
