Testing many cars on Route X I think that something is wrong with acceleration... A lot of old cars can do 0-100 Km/h on less than 5 secs, such as Miura, 512BB, LP-400 and Countach 25°... This is truly unbelievable..

Fully tuned or stock? What tires? Makes a huge difference.

The 2012 GT-R can't even do 0-60 in 2.9 seconds stock. I had to add a fully customizable transmission and Racing Soft tires. Some cars do have proper times though, such as the Veyron (0-60 in 2.5 seconds)

I think they got the gearing wrong :ouch:

The other thing aside from quickness(ex. 1/4 mile) is the trap speed at the 1/4 mile which is closer on target. I took a bone stock, tires and all on the V12 Vantage. I think i was able to get a 12.6 sec 1/4 mile but eyeballing the trap speed as i went through trap was 121mph. I'm googled the irl stats on this car and it showed 12.5 @ 119mph. I haven't chevked that many cars yet but the few that I have were in the right area. Note the trap speed and compare that to real life. You can then figure out whether its a traction issue or a performance miscalculation. Drag racing my real world car I can see as much as a 5-7tenth difference in 1/4 mile time based on my launch, but the mph at the traps generally stays within 1-3 mph.

I'm pretty sure this is all down to the (not very accurate) tyre model. In the real world different cars come with so many different types and compounds of tyre but in GT5 there are just 6 basic compounds for road cars.

I checked the gearing on the '12 GT-R, it's 99.9% correct.

Only 4th gear is off by .001

In the GT-R 2012 , gear shifts are horrible not the gearing ^_^ .

i like the stock transmission of the GTR , i like very much i even use it for real racing :sly: shifts like speed of light :sly: .

and yes alot of cars acceleration is wrong really wrong .

it's been discussed already. The 2007 model has the correct transmission type (way faster shifting) but the 2012 version (DLC) doesn't.

What they lacked in safety they make up in speed due to less weight.. newer cars are burdened with safety equipment for drivers protection.
