GT Academy was a free download that gave you a chance to become a real life racing driver.

GT5 is a game.

I guess you mean to say "GT5 Academy Edition"... this?

Either way they are two separate games. What you do in GT Academy will not effect your GT5 game they really have nothing to do with each other except Academy was a online competition. Now if you are in the Africa region they released Academy and should open Jan 1-Jan 31 2013.

Now if you do, I'm not sure if that version will give you the prize cars that we won for completing the rounds. But if they do and you want to win 8 cars and a Suit buy it it was fun an hard but still fun. Their was a post in the news section about GT Academy Africa it had other areas near there so give those links a look. To see if you qualify, what you get and what not.

If you do mean GT5 Academy Edition, then it is no different from the original GT5 Game except you get the voucher codes for DLC downloads and the code to take part in the Academy Edition challenge which opens in January and is valid until 31st January 2013. Once you place the game disc in it uses your saved game data and there is no difference at all.

Yes, you can. Apart from the DLC codes you get with the Academy edition, the games are identical.

There's a voucher inside the box. Enter the voucher code in PS Store (under "Redeem Codes") and you get the DLC.

If you didn't buy it new, you won't get the voucher - or it'll have already been used and won't be valid.
