GT5 is somewhat strange game.
Does it make you engage in obsessive compulsive behavior?

I know I certainly do.
Some of the things I did:
- Fully tuned all my cars (at the beginning, I've stopped)
- Had really hard time driving my 0/0 cars
- If I crashed/damaged my car I'd restart

Some of the things I still do:
- My GT Life background, color and profile picture must match (by color or scenery or anything else, I just can't stick up a pink LFA with Kyoto background and red color)
- Whenever I quit GT5 I must switch to my golden McLaren F1 (has 130+ changes so far)
- All my cars have fresh oil

GT5 has many things which are verry OCD-like, for example: GT Life profile, cars have distance measured, changes measured, power goes up and then it goes down and after some time it goes irreversably down, cars have oil which gets dirty, chassies which get stressed, cars which need cleaning etc.

I know I'm not alone, post your opinion(s).

Also, notice my posts - so neat and grammatically correct, too neat, too correct.

haha awesome sauce.

how about these;

i have to do a manual save before i stop playing, even if i've just seen the game auto save.

all my cars are tuned by pp. all rounded to the nearest 10 points. 400, 420, 540, 610, etc. none at 565, 476, 463, etc.

when i buy a new car i always end up buying the same basic mods; tires, tranny, suspension, clutch, etc - in exactly the same order each time.

first thing i always do after loading the game is to go to my garage and sort the cars by pp descending.

also i've sold many cars and then ended up regretting it and buying them again weeks later.

Bolded is what I do too.
Also, I do the same garage thing, I just sort by make.

Also, when I golded all licences I went to Special Events. I was just looking at them and I didn't like *gold, bronze, silver, gold etc* so I just golded them all.
Can't say I golded them only because of OCD but still, it has taken some part in it.

lol

sometimes i look at my own profile page just to see the 60 golds 0 silver 0 bronze for the s license. it's so neat and satisfying.

that's the last one i'll admit.

Same.
Again, that's why I golded them.

Like one of you said, I always save the game several times before I go, and I always triple check to make sure that the game isn't saving before I turn off my console.

Well, I also always save manually before I quit the game. Another thing is I always have to do just one more run in practice to see if some interesting cars pop up in the UCD.

And lastly, and perhaps the most time consuming one, is that I take photos of every single car I acquire in photomode and export them to the XMB. And afterwards, of course, I check the UCD for some new rides, and buy and photograph them ...... then I check again..... and repeat those steps as long as some interesting rides appear in the UCD

I also save the game before i quit, and i also clear the cashe before i enter a online race, thats the only thing i do. I dont worry to much about millage, since i mosly play online.

I never spell accurate on my posts, because english isnt my first language.

I do exactly the same.

Plus I never have much more than my 100 favourites as it clutters my garage!

I too save after every time I finish playing.. And after every race I will look in the UCD to find new cars.. Ahhhh

- In the beginning I fully tuned each car as well
- Still have a really hard time driving my 0/0 cars and have been known to buy another 0/0 just so I can drive one and keep the other 0/0
- If I crash/damage my great cars I'd restart
- My GT Life background and color must match, although I don't match them to the profile picture
- All my cars used to have fresh oil until I accidentally forgot to do an oil change on one and it sold on the marketplace much more quickly with 0 switched than with 1 switch and a free oil change
- After the above, now I have a SUPER hard time driving any vehicle that has 0 switched, even if I know that I can't trade them (because of the 1 million limit). In fact, I bet I could count on one hand the number of times that I finally drove a 0 switched car.
- I can't get all the golds on my licenses.. and it's driving me nuts. I'm considering hiring someone to borrow my PS3 and get all the golds on my licenses and special events just because I can't handle not having all the golds.

Yeah, I'm a bit nuts. For example, the stations on my radio have to be in numerical order (1 = 92.1, 2 = 93.5, 3 = 97.9, 4 = 99.1, 5 = 106.7, 6 = 107.3) or my mind just implodes. I've even been known to change friends radio's to put them in numerical order while they are filling their car with gas at the station and I'm waiting in the passenger seat.

Add me in this one also! Yev and Barron, I do the same things as you guys i.e. crash/restart, get into a certain car before turning it off, etc.

But I have the biggest addiction to the OCD and UCD. Everytime I get a large sum of money, I ALWAYS GO TWO THESE PLACES!! And what's worse...... A elusive or "rare" car is always sitting there, just tempting me to purschase! And sometimes I fall for it EVERYTIME!!!!!

WHY??????!!!!!!!!!!!!
👍👍

All of my cars need to be tuned to horsepower ratings that are divisible by 5, and weight numbers that are divisible by 5. If I couldn't get the car modified in a way that met those specifications (which was a real problem in GT3, but strangely not in GT2 or GT4) I generally wouldn't drive it. I'm still the same way, but the power limiter and ballast makes it so it isn't really a problem like it was back in the day.

- Every time I buy a car it gets an oil change and car wash, in that order.
- I always manually save my game before I quit playing.
- After I quit the game, I always back up my game save.
- After every race/loading screen, I have to check the UCD.

Things I do too:
-Gather random cars to favorites.
-Buy a bunch of cars like the Amuse 380RS.
-Tune cars randomly.

Do those count?

uMadson?

Yes they do, welcome to the club.

Haha I too have to confess a pretty bad one.

At least, I managed to convince myself to lessen the strains for GT5, but in gt4 I did things like this:

1. I strive to own all cars in the game.

2. I will collect them, by getting all cars from a manufacturer.

3. This will be done by going from oldest to newest, AND from worst to best, AND from type to type. Ie. with Nissan I would start with the kei cars, and leave the skylines for last. When starting the skylines I start with the first one and move up to the newest one.

4. And to make things worse, I have to get through the manufacturers in alphabetical order.

This is practically impossible in gt5, which is why I am not so strict any more, but in gt4 it was possible to do it exactly like this.

I also fully tune every single car, but have taken to getting a spare in stock form now for cars I really like.
This tuning goes slowly, step by step, racing the car in any events I can - this is how I get through every car, so it takes a looong while.
And I do that save thing too.

I have to re organize the car list by make everyime I start up.

Everytime I crash I say "🤬, I'm dead" and restart.

hahah!! Same!
If I buy a nice car, it must be able to rev to or more than 9000 RPMs.
LOL
I save before quitting, even if it just autosaved.
I buy all the Opel Vauxhall's in all the dealerships, because I am crazy :dunce:

I´ve got the game in December and haven't done any A-spec races, just 6 licences (to cylce the UCD) and the first top gear test track (to gain access to track). However I have completed B-spec and Seasonals (Because in the past they used to expire).
And do you know why? Because I'm waiting for the T500RS Shifter to buy the whole pack and then start racing.

Manual save before quit mandatory.

I want to collect everything: Museum cards, Horns, Paints, Tickets...

and Cars: first I will have one of each, then i will start looking for those that have color variants, then i will start again for 0/0, the 0/0 that have color variants and then 0/0 all original colors.
I still need to create some extra account for the 0/0 because GT5 doesn't let us organize our cars in folders or similar systems. I've found the actual system very confusing.

Another thing is that i don't use exploits, duping or what so ever. It his my gold rule.

Personaly i want to gold everything to.

And with this GT5 will take a lot of years to complete.

Wow, read some serious OCD in here.
Now I don't have serious OCD but it's present, so I'm neat which is good.
But before it was a lot worse, I've ruined so many cars with rigidity improvement...

Now I only do the manual save (sometimes, not always) and I (sometimes, often but not always) change to McLaren F1 when I'm about to quit game, of course my profile page must be looking good and neat.

In real life my clothes must match (right now white t-shirt, lime green summer pants, white socks and white and green sneakers).

Well, I used to strive to numbers divisible by 2.
And I've noticed that you (Toronado) always type in gray bolded text with altered font.

When I first get a car I change the oil. I'll always do so after a race as well. Its smart to do that and recommend for everyone to do it because if you use a car in a long race, you don't have to worry about forgetting to change the oil. I had that happen a few times to me and had to quit because the car lost so much hp halfway through the race and It was hard to keep up at all. lol

And oh, I used to have this urge to maintain EVERY car I bought off the UCD.
