I've the first version PS3 slim CECH-2001A 120GB and the dame BCUS-98114.

For some reason, the GT5 game DATA got corrupted, everyting was slow, it took about 5 minutes to get to the main menu, 3 minutes to see the cursor, the loading was too slow, etc.

I've called the Playstation support, they ask me to delete the GT5 game DATA and to backup my save. All looks good, restore my save data, downloaded all the updates and so on, when I got in to my GT5 home, there is no picture of me with the Jeff Gordon racing suit or any sign of it on the Itens list.

It's gone.

So, if you EVER need to delete the GT5 data files, watchout for missing itens you migh have.
Edit: I've lost all the helmets and racing suits that my B-SPEC drivers were wearing, they are all wearing basic suits and helmets.

Yes, when reinstalling the game data, you lose all the gear you and your B-Spec drivers were wearing.

I think it is because PD added the racing suits in updates, and when you delete game data it goes back to the original V1.01 (so racing suits don't exist yet). I'd have a look to see if any Gold chrome paints/cars have gone missing or changed colour as well.

My friend had a problem like this. On v1.12 his data got randomly corrupted. It was bull how it randomly corrupted his data:grumpy:

This has also happened to me.

When I reinstalled the data from the disc, carried out the patch updates and resumed my back-up save game my nascar racing suit was gone and the driver icon was empty. Very strange. Nothing else has been affected, all my cards, paints, cars and other suits and helmets are fine.

I tried clicking on the seasonal event even though it is closed, obviously everything is greyed out but I had hoped it would kick start it somehow, now all I can see are the Gold trophies in the background
