*Facepalm* "I'm not buying it" is a term used that means I don't believe it. All they were trying to say is that they don't believe the information about a release date unless it comes directly from PD/Sony. Nothing to do with actual buying :)

Seriously, it looks like he culls the webs for the latest gossipz, and then makes a one or two sentence boil down of it. Reading through the tweets, me not see news any. Although Duke Nukem would be cool. Have to wait for a PC version though. I want to play it on a reliable platform.
 
I find that to be a rather empty statement. ;)

For that matter, someone who reads a TWITTER of all things from an anonymous human with no discernible background in anything, and then falls into hysterics because of it, isn't thinking much at all.

I mean, seriously, have you read any of those tweets? :lol:

What can I say? At least I'm prepared for the worst. Maybe you'll soon wish you were as well, maybe not.
 
Who says we are not? You are only preparing for the worst right now. I never expected a release this year but only hope. Too many people are expecting it this year and are getting extremely dissapointed (odd considering nothing has changed to make them think this).

Well....I'm expecting it this year. But I'm not going to be disappointed (not even slightly, let alone extremely) if it comes out later.
I really don't understand all this talk about 'waiting', it's not like you're sitting in front of the TV doing nothing until it gets here (at least, I hope nobody does that :lol:), plenty of other good stuff on the PS3 to keep me occupied.
 
i also believe it is coming this year around september or august. thats my personal opinion on when it is going to come out. i will not get disappointed if it doesnt come out because i know that nobody else will have it aswell! :P
 
I'd be disappointed if it won't be released this year because in 2010 I'll be off for like 11 months with zero time to play ;(
 
Not sure if it's the case on all their regional sites, but the UK Amazon site is accepting pre-orders for GT5 at 40GBP. :)

Man, I'm glad you found a solid source of reliable gaming nuze, and you're such a thoughtful, level headed poster who never goes off on irrational rants. :dopey:

Now look, at some point, GT5 is going to be released. If Fm3 comes out first, yay, Froza fanboyz will have a good laugh. And if they want a solid racing wheel, they're gonna have to buy yet ANOTHER piece of hardware to add to their pile of proprietary peripherals. And if they were dumb enough to buy an Arcade, they'll have to shell out even MORE to buy a proprietary hard drive in order to play all of Fm3, if at all.

Meanwhile, I have games for PS3 I've barely touched because all of them are just incredible. I keep playing Prologue and GT4 because they're such good games, and even though GTR Evo has the Nurb, the one I keep racing is on GT4 because it plays and looks better than the one in a PC sim on a $1000 triple core Athlon gaming PC. And when GT5 does arrive, I doubt I'll be playing many other games for a year or more, much as I did when GT4 came out.

You have to buy a solid racing wheel for the PS3 just the same.
I did not get my G25 wheel free with my PS3.
 
It's the thread-starter's prerogative - I'd only amend it if it's against the AUP, grossly misleading, unhelpful or spelled wrong.

As it stands, I think the first part - which is expressed as a rhetorical question rather than a statement - is fine.

If you had a DF Pro, you didn't have to buy a G25 to have a quality racing wheel for Prologue. I did buy a DF GT wheel because my PC ate my DF Pro, and I did buy a G25 when I learned that it was guaranteed to work with PC games, and knew it would be about the best wheel for GT5.

But if you bought a 360, you couldn't use a wheel which worked just fine on a Playstation console. Unfortunately.
 
Good find, pretty good contest that site had too!

Someone in this thread was complaining about the prizes for that contest. They were giving away Monster Hunter Unite for the PSP! That's an awesome game!

Anyways, new screenshots are great. Some amazing lighting effects on display.
