Hey I wanna go at this. Ouch sorry it's obnoxiously large, I'll try and get it smaller in a minute.

Ahh that's better, adding as attachment is kinder.

I'd say thats combines the best of the official cover and the poster! Good work owen.
Ooh thanks, it's a bit sketchy because I only took 5 mins in photoshop, but you get the idea.

I have to say the official GT5 cover it the most striking of PS3's titles....well I would say that but I mean it's very eye-catching and should entice alot of users.

Well with a few minor cleanup sand edits I think you should apply to become 'chief cover' designer for Gran Turismo!!!!

From a design standpoint i like the real cover with the red car the most.
It just stands out, while with the black & white the one would be nice for a poster, i think its too dark for a cover on a games box. The cover needs to stand out a bit just like the game.

PD usually hides the brand badge on cover art.
He buys a new car when released new title. SLS in this time maybe.

Badges clearly on 3 titles sold locally below and collaborated versions and demos.

Yup. A boxart has to do more than just preach to the converted, but also has to attract potential customers from across the shopping aisle. Though the black one is really nice, it's not quite eye-catching and somehow the gullwing on the car is somewhat lost. With the red, it's different enough from the one for the PSP.

Here's a few pictures I took from the new video on GTTV. With it paused on my TV, it doesn't look like a three disk set. Looks more like one disk case and two rather thick books/manuals.

I think they are just filler cases.

It's on the US site now and apart from the obvious different rating icon the US gets the same.

I'm just wondering if this has been confirmed. Because if it has than I don't need to buy some crap used game from Gamestop in order to get the case from it.

The cover is nice but I had a try at my own design. I would have liked to see something brighter like this.

While nice, that cover would be more at home gracing the next Ridge Racer or some other arcade-heavy racer. The technical nature of the GT5 cover is perfectly in keeping with what the game is all about.
