The damaga modell is just bad. Even with lvl 40 or so. . This is a good damaga modell. From an upcoming GT5, Forza competitors. The game is from some rFacor people and the developer behind shift, but has far realistic handling, driving physics than Shift. and many more things. And it has a better AI than GT or Forza.

I like how a piece of the car is floating in front of it and how there are absolutely no scratches and that you are a PC fanboy who should leave the place where us GT5 fanboys reside.

Maybe its you that should leave the forums were free speach and opinion sharing is allowed. And Fanboy is a word the Mods really dont like.

Oh, sorry about that, I just find people who say that something is very bad and go OT annoying.

I did not say GT is bad. I just say GT has a bad damage model. And a bad sound, but this is another topic^^

GT is not the perfect race sim you no and there are things that can be improved.

And Project C.A.R.S (see the picture in my last post) will be available for ps3, 360, wii U and PC. I would not compare Cars with GT if the platform isn´t the same.

At the Moment it is in the alpha for PC and has the community as a publisher which is a great idea. This game could be a good rival for GT or Forza. And the bug you mentioned will be fixed, cause the game has still a long way to go. And even GT has bugs in the damage model and the game is released.

And the damage model is better than the GT and it is in the alpha and still work in progress.

Sry for bad english :)

thx :)

I hope pCARS is good, but everyone's saying that the consoles will be limited and suck. :( Hope not.

Of course it is going to be limited on console. They are out dated consoles....

Without consoles however, games would be much less efficient with their power, consoles force devs to be smarter with the optimization which is a good thing. I do think a PS4 is coming on 2013 or 2014.

Yeah you missed something. From Oct 2011..

See? That's not ridiculous at all right?

Here we go...

Looks good up to a point, then gets a little insane.

That's great but better coding (AKA taking short cuts to achieve better frame rates) doesn't magically turn 2004 tech into 2012 tech. Consoles do nothing but hinder the progression of graphics capability and features on PC.

In response to the OP like a year ago: Seriously, what happened to the damage? Did I miss something? I'm only at level 39, maybe it will unlock at level 40 lol

I understand that but efficient coding is very important, graphics would not be very well optimized without consoles to force restrictions, without them PC's would be just as powerful but games would likely look a tad bit worse because of less efficient coding.

it doesn't unlock, the only thing that may convince users of this is that by then you will have faster race cars which have better damage models than the normal street vehicles.

+ 1000

I can't belive that (so many) people stll belive in that level thing... O_o

Well damage seems to work for you but not for everyone like me properly!!

As far as I know, damage is already in the game, you just have to unlock it at higher levels.

I can't believe people still believe this  ! Damage was in the game and enabled the day you went to your local gameshop, bought Gran Turismo 5, put it in your PS3 and started the game up! *mega facepalm* :indiff:

What part of it doesn't work for everyone do you not understand?

It does not pucking work !

Damage was already on for arcade in options menu so why isn't it working Mr know it all? hmmm??!!

Some GT5 games are corrupted so just face it and stop thinking you know everything, thats got to be the problem.
If you can't believe it then start now, same goes anyone else who thinks damage works for anyone . .

It worked for me online but not but not in arcade mode, it keeps resetting.

He said it was enabled, not that it works in your corrupted broken install of the game.

I am annoyed at his reaction " I can't believe " not saying that he was saying what you are trying to make out I was saying.
To me it sounds like he was kinda judging with that mega facepalm

Can you explain what you mean here? If you are talking about visual damage I believe this exists for most if not all cars, but is very basic for most standard models, more complex and realistic for premiums (and for just a few you can lose doors etc)

If you are referring to the type of damage which affects the performance of the car, there are esentially 3 settings for this, I forget what they are called but for the most extreme setting you have to pit to "fix" the car. For the next setting the effects wear off after driving for a while, and the final setting is "off".

Neither the aesthetic nor performance affecting damage remains for that car when you start another race.

So you are honestly suggesting that because of consoles games have better graphics and features on PC? Surely you can not be serious.

Since many games are developed for consoles and then ported to PC graphics are no where near the level that they should be. Compare a game developed for PC then ported to console (Battlefield 3 for example). Since consoles are incapable of running the enormous maps at the level of detail a PC can run they have been scaled back with low-resolution textures, half the amount of players in lobbies, and maps that are half the size as the PC version. This is not something that "optimized coding" (which it seems you do not understand what this is) is capable of fixing. You obviously don't own a gaming PC or have any clue about what you are talking about. Like I said before, it is 2004 technology. This is 2012. 8 years in computer engineering and development is a lifetime. These are my gaming PC specs: i5 2500k @4.6 ghz, 8 GB DDR3, XFX 797A @ 1000 MHz 5.7 GBps 3GB GDDR5. This is by no means the top of the line but compare that to your PS3 and tell me if "code optimization" is really that beneficial. Especially considering once the hardware is swapped out for next-gen all the "optimization" is null. I'll save you the trouble... It's not.

Sorry for going off-topic gentlemen.

I will explain as soon as I have tried to final setting off as you say . .

I managed to get my door to fall off and get my trophy, I think its because of the latest update :D
