I would like to see a confirmation of that. Simply thinking that a game is this far along so making a demo from that takes 5 minutes, is probably wrong. Look at GT5P. It's a showcase of how far along GT5 was at the time it came out. Tell me that didn't take months and months away from the final product.

It didn't. The assets used in Prologue will be used (or at the very least, tweaked) in the full game. PD was just putting all of its work to date in a small package.

Watch your damn mouth! How dare you talk so filthy.
Hey, sorry my english! :D

But honestly, if the demo included Tokyo, I bet everyone would be racing it. After all, you wouldn't be watching a YouTube video, it's a decently challenging high speed course, and drop dead gorgeous in HD. And just imagine it at night...

As for Prologue, it probably did take a couple of months or more to produce. All those GT5 assets had to be made to work in a game format, and optimized, which undoubtedly took some work, and then the online structure and server network had to be established, and I think that alone took a month or more of testing. And remember, we got two updates, one huge one with 30-plus more cars and a new track, and the big one probably took four weeks or more of building and testing.

As said, a demo of some kind wouldn't take much work, just the patching in of the online system of the TT demo, for instance. I doubt it would include the Top Gear track or anything from Nurburg, since those are two aces PD holds, but I'd be happy to be wrong. And anyone who says they wouldn't be downloading a demo if it was available right this minute would either be fibbing, or heading out to buy a PS3. ;)

It's GTR2. I'm sure the track is in rFactor too.
But that's a user-made addon isn't it (not trying to downplay it)? What I meant earlier was that the Top Gear track in GT5 will be the only officially licensed recreation of that track. ;)

Right...I believe that the Daytona Infield and Indy Infield will appear in GT5 for the first time ever. (at least officially.) Nurburgring's 24H circuit I don't think has appeared in a game before, either...although, I think PGR3 had a "Bahemouth" version that included the combination of the Full GP circuit and Nordshlief. I don't think if had the 24H circuit. But, GT has seen a lot of tracks appearing in a video game for the first time: Infineon Sports Car Course (Other games had the Stock car course), Twin Ring Motegi and all it's variations, Suzuka West and East...the list goes on.
