It probably would work but with massive lag. Then of course, any updates would wipe your bandwith allowance away in a heartbeat. You could always just suck it and see?

I use it, usually without problems too. I'm on 3, albeit in Ireland, but I can be only for anywhere upto 12 hours a week, and it really doesnt use that much. I get a 15gb allowance, and I only use about 2gb of that on GT5 online
I also race in a series, and the lag is usually non existant
My only internet connection for my PS3 is through my Cell Phones mobile hotspot. With 3G PSN would show a good Nat2 connection but kept disconnecting me. Have 4G now and not getting disconnected all the time. Haven't tried racing online yet though.
