So I recently won a Ferrari F40, and since I knew it sounded wonderful in real life I decided to take it for a spin without any Mods (besides tires, susp, and drive-train parts.) To my surprise it sounded wonderful, almost spot-on. Engine sounded 'healthy' and you could hear a slight whine of the turbo.
Well I decided to take it back out after some with some mods, I noticed no difference in actual engine tone with Engine stage 3 or Catalytic converter and headers. But when I installed titanium race exhaust it made it sound, way less throaty and much more high pitch, which is understandable. But their sound seems to be the same with all Ferraris with a race exhaust. (Scuderia, 599 etc. all sound nearly identical.) And quite frankly I don't like the sound.
Another thing is on, what I think, every vehicle if you install a race transmission It creates an over bearing whine.👎 My question is; are these race modifications true to life with their sound? Anyone have any 1st hand experience with modifying a car, and do these mods really create these sound changes when installed?
