I...don't know what to think of the Elise. Other than it weighs more, which is a bad thing. That Merc is a waste of a SLR motor, and the Honda and Nissan are both a waste of a perfectly good classic car IMO. I like my classics original and pristine. Sure a 928 would be faster and perform better all-round with the current Turbo's engine, but who would want that? I don't see people swapping out old GT Falcon engines for the Barra Tarbo, even though it would make it a LOT faster.

Sure the odd update is OK to keep it usable, but both of those are now some sort of hybrid monstrosity, and as far as I'm concerned, they're not a modern car, they're not a classic, so it makes them nothing. And the Honda especially should have been properly restored instead of altered like that. In my eyes all of those cars have lost their soul.

But hey, that's just me.

Will GT5 have more realistic tuning? For example, Turbo Kit upgrades, and supporting mods for that turbo, Or supercharger. Pistons, Rods, Vavles, Nitrous Oxide Systems, Manual In-Car Boost Controller. Fuel Systems, Oil Coolers. Just to make the game more fun. I mean everyone would like to create their own monster, with varieties of parts.

GT > All FTW!

I'm sure GT5 will have more options of tuning just like GT4 but better. I'm hoping for a boost contoller setting but I doubt it. The Nitrous system in GT4 was amusing. As for ecu tuning...that's a whole different story because the "greatest" ecu tuning i've ever played with was in NFS:Underground 2 lol. Can't wait for what it will have though.

You could adjust boost level in GT2, but they dropped it since :indiff:

Yeah you could adjust the boost, i forgot about that.

ahahahahaahahha a boost controller.... dream..... and also a air fuel ratio to map ecu....
yes, in the dream...

hell its possible....just get a AFR gauge and stick it on to your logitech! lol.

OT:
yes i disassemble the one i have in my car....

What about using different types of fuels? Pump gas, race gas, alcohol, methanol, Nitro, even oxygenated fuel. And if they wanted to go a step further, the effects these fuels have on the engines. For example, running nitro too much would decrease the life of you engine by XXX% and using race gas (high octane) would effect your mileage.

Maybe not so much as being able to buy engine parts, but it would be nice to be able to tune your engine. For those people that know how to tune an engine and how to add power by messing with the timing ,adjusting the valve lash, fuel pressure regulators, ect. would be complete and total win.

that would be insane.

I want programmable anti-lag.

Likelihood is virtually zero, but man would it be sweet :D

I too would like to see an expansion on servicing rather than just changing the oil, each car could come with a service manual to add some depth to buying/selling cars and if you don't service any car on time or with the right parts it will reduce the performance or reliability and eventually have to pay out for more expensive parts.

Also as previously mentioned it would be good to see slight differences in performance parts from different tuning company's.

Not in slightest bit interested in engine swaps.

^ While I agree with everything else you said, I would LOVE engine swaps ;)

I love your idea, but as for the engine swaps i don't know.

Some of the parts i want in the game or racing features are for drag racing and stuff, so it won't make sence for them to add it and GT5 won't have drag.

They have thought about putting drag racing in gt5, but who knows they might just get it in. :)

Thats where forza comes in... They do the weird swaps, but also cool.

I've played GT5P today, and happen to saw something that caught my attention into bringing up this topic.

<<<Seems GT5 will have some kind of oil pressure alert, so i was wondering some cars in gt5p (which are tuned) have oil pressure, boost gauges and others that i didn't quit see what they were, but the regular cars don't. So lets say i happen to go in-car view and I'm racing, and it so happens i got low oil pressure or something, would GT5 have it so that we can put these gauges in the car? That way we can see our oil pressure, and make a pit stop or something before it's to late.

I Mean No1 Would Like To Have A Broken Car In The Middle Of A Big Race. :/

IIRC, the Oil light was the oil change reminder.
