I had a great idea today... Remember the coffee break tests (AKA gymkhana) from gt4p onwards? Gt5 should have these as a separate license test. If you managed to complete them all, you would unlock a car, maybe a car that's tuned for gymkhana. You would also unlock the ability to create your own gymkhana tests. Then, you could send them to your friends. If your friends completed this test, they would win a prize based on its difficulty- you could set a reasonable prize yourself, or a random reward.

So, what do you guys think?

Also, rally licenses!

Rally licenses are integrated into the licence test.

I remember the "coffee breaks." They were more frustrating than the tests themselves. "A moment to relax," they said. Hah!

Something like this could be fun online. The Top Gear test track has a whole bunch of cones.

I've thought of calling rooms "Coffee Break" before but i figured people wouldnt get it, or misinterpret it.

Didn't they have a maze of cones once?

lol yea, the Daihatsu Copen...

Gotta navigate through a hell of cones to get to the finish. I bronzed it : 👍

lol

there was also one with a maze-like test using a honda beat. You had to knock over all the cones.

I wish the test course had the Autocross setup for arcade mode... That test was cool

Ahh, memories.

What was autocross?

Also, do you remember this fuel conserving tests? Completely pointless.

Wow I remember both the Copen test and the knocking over cones one. I've never been more frustrated in my life than I was doing those.

Yeah good, but I thought it was a thread talking about how to actually gymnkana in GT5, Ken Block style. Instead of talking about some ipotetic license tests. Sometimes we gtp'ers should talk about what we can do, not only what we could do.

Top gear test track is a nice starting point , i guess you could move some cones around creating a gymkhana course...

Or a Gymkhana creator? You could design it, like ModRacers... of course GT style.
GT could become so flexible and expandable on its game modes.

Exactly what I was thinking... Or you could just place them as dots in course maker.

The IB and IA coffee tests (I may be wrong, it could've been IA/S) were autocross tests. the first being a Z33 roadster with driving aids on and the latter without aids. That course was pretty cool, it was pretty much Complex String shortened into 30 seconds worth of track...well not really but sorta
