Am I losing out a lot on image quality compared to playing on a Full HD TV?

Not necessarily. A digital ready tv may not be full hd (1920x1080 res).

But he didn't say "digital ready", he said "HD ready".

Granted, he also left out a lot of information, such as "what is the native resolution of this HD-ready TV?"

Resolution is 1366 x 768. Model is Toshiba Regza 37CV500E.

basically 'HD ready' sets refer to TVs with resolution of 1024x768~1366x768, while 'Full HD' refers to native 1920x1080 capable TV sets

Resolution is only one factor - contrast ratio and proper black levels, not to mention a proper calibrated display, are all just as important. Your seating distance also determines how well you can discern detail between a 720p and 1080p display.

FYI the term 'HD ready' is used to describe a TV that displays HD resolution but does not have a built-in ATSC tuner i.e. it doesn't have anything to do with display resolution.

Thats High Def. How are you connecting your PS3 video output to your TV?
