Have you HEARD the GT40? A standard, I should add. I think the cars only sound unrealistic when you tune them, usually. When the cars are stock, they usually sound pretty good, especially in the low RPM range.
Absolutely! Yes the majority of them sound good at low RPM, plenty of rumble. Which fades away when you speed up
The LFA is a great example of how crappy a car will sound after tuning. Add a tranny to it and all you hear is ghastly gear whine. Factory top speed is around 200mph. That won't happen in GT5 with a standard tranny and power plant.
Racing R246 on the Supercar Seasonal event made me feel extremely disappointed. Then fully modding it turns the car to garbage without an expert tune.
NASCAR The Game gives pretty consistent rumble. For just engines. In GT5, if I didn't have music on, I'd think something was wrong with my ButtKicker
