GT5 is going down hill

To you it might be the lamest defense, but it is my only real gripe about the system. Duping, trading, etc. don't bother me at all. If there were a cleaner system without so much spam and bump threads, it would be great. If it doesn't bother you, go for it.

The real question why we dupe cars is because PD hardly gives us any sort of rewards for the effort put it. I read somewhere on the forum that the 24H-Nurb gives you hardly anything. So,my question is,isn't it elitist to assume that if people don't have the time(read 24 hours in 1 day) to spend on races without much reward and with the 20mil CR limit to boot,that they don't deserve to play the game? It's just a game,for crying out loud! Why can't PD leave it just the way it was?

But seems kinda harsh to bring in grammar to take the marketplace off,don't you think? The majority of them are reasonable posters though. Just thinking loud.

PD made 1 model of every car and then they DUPED it about 6 million times :D
 
LOL, you know what i find not only pathetic but also sad, A lot of the people in these forums that are carrying on over duping and collecting/trading are in fact dupers and i have dealt with a lot of these people on numerous occasions! A lot through Multi trades, rofl, some people need to get off there bloody high horses and think to yourselves, why try to have a go at people when in fact, you actually were the ones duping and collecting. Its bloody hilarious that because most of the people have all the cars that they needed from doing the exact same thing as what there bitching about in the first place. Wake the:censored: up and stop been a bunch of hypocrites!

I liked the fact that I could get a redbull x2010 without running the endurance part of the game.. Who in the hell is going to race for 24 hours straight? Not me. I won't run any of the ecdurance part at all. I'm disabled and 62 years old and I really liked trading and meeting new friends. But a couple hours at a time is long enough for me to spend on the game. I do have a real life outside of GT5. It seems that some people live and die for this game and I think they need to get back to reality once in a while. I think PD should have given us more credits and better prizes all the way through the game so we could buy the cars we want and as far as the high dollor cars you can buy very few in the NCD and UCD so getting the X1 would have never happened for me without the trading.

Sorry for being so long winded but had to say my thoughts.

That you should have just added your opinion to one of the myriad of indentikit threads that are already on the forum, rather than starting a new one and that your posts are a damning indictment of the Scotish education system.

Hi Badbutch06, I totally understand where you are coming from as i am half disabled with major back problems and a whole list of other bad stuff which i won't bore you all with that. As far as both butch and I are concerned, If PD actually gave a rats ass about the people playing there game. They could at least put in a save feature for endurance races.

people been married, have kids, some work 80 hours etc, and in order for these people to fully finish the game or even experience the Endurance races will need to have the ps3 on non stop for a whole week lmfao, and this is what Pd and sony want because then people will be forced to buy a frigging new ps3, To me that is truely sad and also pathetic considering this day and age. To implement a save feature isn't bloody hard at all and if PD actually focused on putting in that and fixing the game it would be better off. instead of constantly adding additional features to it, why don't they just polish the existing features before trying to screw the game even more than what it is...
 
I can definitely see why people are upset about the trading limits and low xp, all that stuff. My feelings are that as of now I'm only missing at most 3-4 cars I really want. I have over 200 cars and really only use 10-15 regularly. I have newfound enjoyment from this game by playing online with randoms :yuck: and I recently joined a pre '70s car racing series. Never have I had as much fun in this game as I have had in the last two races in that series. My advice to people mad about the trading limits is to get out there and race! Drive the cars you already have and while it may take awhile, you will get the money to buy the cars you want. 👍

Its not about the game alone i know plenty of guys like the 2 posts above here who see trading as an extention of the game

trading is not only about swapping cars with someone its also the contact that u make with other people here on the forum that u never can make by just playing the game

i like your advice matey, i have around 98 friends that play gt5 and sadly i haven't even experienced the online racing as yet lol, had a tonne of offers but am always to busy trading so in a really fed up way, its a blessing, i just wish i could get my 150 odd cars back to my bloody main account lol I might just join a few leagues and have some good old racing!

i couldn't agree more with you brother, i have built friendships and top relationships through about 8thousand messages and to be perfectly honest, i consider trading more fun that the actual game, as i like to communicate with different people. with that been said there are some super terrific people on these forums and like Jhonno has written, you would not meet any of them unless you are in racing leagues and even still, most people in racing leagues probably don't even trade anyway so yeah you wouldn't meet any of them
 
@ jhonno - I know what you mean. As you can see in my sig I've made 6 trades on this site and each one was handled with professionalism and promptness. Those people I wouldn't hesitate to do business with again. If I ever feel I want a car and can't find it or don't have enough credits, those 6 are the people I would check with first 👍

@ xxAiDsTaRxx - Do it! Join some leagues. As long as the racing is clean and fair in regards to hp and such, I can't see how anyone wouldn't have fun racing against regular people over long periods of time. :)
 
Low end cheap car need some attention, so they put the cap on. Now we have no choice but to trade only the car that we not pay much attention before. Well, just my own thinking.

The real problem is this.


From day one GT5 was introduced as being a gt world, or gt life experience and short cuts and duplicating items drastically reduces one may spend submersed in the GT world. Which is clearly bad for pd and I can think of 6 more reasons why.

That is nonsense. PD makes no money after you have paid for the game. There is no reason for them to see benefit in us having to grind. They took away a part of the game after I paid for it. No different than a new car dealer coming to your house and taking your radio three months after you bought the car for playing too much music or for plugging someone else's iPod into it. Pure crap if you ask me. It's my game shouldn't I be allowed to use it to my liking? Last time I checked I lived in a free country. maybe I need to check again....

Thank you for thinking that I'm some kind of greater-than-thou hypocrite. I stand by everything I've said, including that Marketplace thread. I don't like bumps, and I don't like that less than an hour my thread was buried behind pages of "****SiK GaRAjj aLL RaRE XX1s and LoTSA CRoM pAINTS w/xTRA MaTT P!nK$****" The idea of the Marketplace is great, but the way it functions irks me. I didn't want to bump my own thread but that is how the system works. :yuck: I'm glad that the only Marketplace thread I posted in was my own, and I don't mind looking at it. I was able to post an organized and coherent thread. If the rest of the Marketplace worked that way, I wouldn't mind it one bit. 👍
 
As previously mentioned, the only garbage GT is slinging right now is removing features that we have had. PD had to of known people would be trading upper end cars all along, why remove it? They should of thought it through and had an actual "live" trading feature where you both enter a lobby and put forward what you want to trade and both parties have to hit approve before the trade goes through.

Instead, they try to save the integrity of the game by removing the trading feature for upper end cars...AFTER most of us have all traded upper end cars.
 
The 1 mil trade limit is dumb. Why don't they just make it so you can set up a trade saying that you are giving this and expect this in return? Then once both people have put the agreed upon items in the trade can be finalized.
 
It was suppose to be never ending movie..i can say freely that you guys made it to a 5min commercial.. i cant say that i didnt use benefits of this and colect cars, i can only say that i didnt copy not one.. i didnt vount to.. somehow i think by that that i keept gt5 spirit and never ending movie is still showing at my home..

Is GT5 the real trading/duping simulator?

Surely the most important thing is a fair, good race game. And in my opinion, the latest update is an improvement in that respect.
And even if you did dupe/trade: Surely that's just a minor aspect of the game. I can't understand how this little thing can make or ruin the game.

Isn't it about racing anymore?
