Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but the news section now says that the online service will be offline between 3-4am gmt on the 18th feb for maintenance

When ever Sony are doing any maintenance I always like to disconnect my PS3 from the PSN whilst I'm running B Spec. I'm sure their recent museum maintenance screwed up an evenings B Spec the other night

Start: 02/18/2011 11:00 CCT
Finish: 02/18/2011 12:00 CCT

During the maintenance, it will not be possible to connect to any of the online services.

Not considered that, I'm just finishing the extreme events today(b-spec) I was planning on starting the endurance events overnight. I will disconnect from the psn, better safe than sorry Ta

Being online during an update can interfere with the single-player game? I didn't know that. So, we should disconnect from PSN?

my hopes were up, and now ive accepted not to expect much and be happy with what we get a few tweaks etc. Kaz said so himself they are small but important changed.

Why do they insist on doing these things on fridays (or saturdays) night GMT? What's wrong with mondays, or tuesdays... and so on? Do they have more people playing these days? What's wrong with daytime maintenance when people are at work or whatever?

Well 3-4am in the UK is as good as time as any, but that is 1300 on Saturday in Japan !
