I can.

Quality ≠ Fast cars of this years model

Sure, I agree. But "important" cars, cars that everyone talked about for months and were on magazine covers all over the world, are not in the game. The Focus RS for example. The Mégane R26.R. The Golf R. The Scirocco...

I'm aware that these are all European models. But ask any American or Japanese car enthusiast if he would love to see cars like that in his home market. I'm pretty sure everyone would say yes.

Plus the C30 T5, Megane 225 RS, current shape Mini Cooper S and 08 Civic Type R(us Europeans like all hot hatches!) The Megane may have been replaced but it's still a recent model.

Well, I already listed the Mégane and Mini lol
The Mégane is a very old model. it's absically the 4 door version of the Mégane RS Cup. It's the one without LSD. It came out before the R26.

I have never seen a C30 T5 on the streets. I'm sure it came out a few years ago and the Civic Type R has also been around for quite some time now.

WOW and in the background there's a Fiat 500 Abarth too. I see a Panda (100hp).

Thanks for sharing!

Why is nearly everyone so suprised at the amount of Skyline's? It has been known for long that GT4's car line up would be included in GT5. Simply, those complaints are six years too late. See them as a bonus addition to compensate for the long development of the 200+ premium cars.

It's not the abundance of Skylines, it's the lack of everything else...

As I see it, there will be expensive DLC packs. That's why I am worried.

Its not like Kaz put any Japanese hot hatches in GT5. The mazdaspeed 3, FN2 type R and lancer sportback are all left out.

Again, that argument would make more sense if we were talking about GT4. As I said, it has been known for long and now we have 200 premium cars on top of the old standards.

In my opinion this list is somewhat strange.

Kaz says PD lost so much time modeling cars for GT5, using a completely different technology from GT4, and instead modeling more current cars models, he limited to rebuild mostly GT4 cars!

Something tells me this car list may be official, but I believe is not final.

IMHO they lost so much time modeling cars that they hadn't time to model newer ones than 2008 cars (only a few are newer...)...
I truly want t believe that the list isn't official or at least there are more cars.... a list like this is quite depressing after a 6 year in developement...

They just modeled premium cars from scracth so the newest cars are premium. I understand lots of nsx a cars like that because they were in GT4. Probably un programmer improved lots ofvstandard cars while another only did some premium cars.

In our minds we have lots of posible cars but ANY videogames has a wider car list tough.

I have to say that altough they are standards, that cars are driven the same way as premium because PD only need to introduce the parameters in the pysics engine.

I only count 36 rebuilt GT4 cars, the rest are new. I was hoping new tuned versions wouldn't count as duplicates but other than that it's what I expected.

Edit: 35.

40% of the rebuilds were for European/American cars.

I hope that the standards physics system works as good as the premium ones, if not there will be 800 less cars for me in GT5....

btw ok gt5 will be the game with the longest car list ever...but lacks of quality IMHO, there are lots of cars that I was sure was in but no one is....

I still don't know if I'm gonna buy it tbh... checking the list I have only 300 cars I'd like to drive, the rest isn't so attractive for a real car lover like me.... it's a shame, I loved every GT since the 1st one but there are competitors that have a better taste in chhosing what cars to include nowdays...

Just had a thought, where is the Italian track that had to have the flags removed ? The one for the Karting ?

If you see the vid of the Special Events you'll notice the race square hasn't any track shape so I supose they didn't count them as full featured tracks. I'm only gessing why though

But 300 is a huge number!! If you even drive those you will be having lots of hours of fun!

Yay the Opel Corsa 1.4 (C Generation) is in :). Pity its the pre facelift 2001 version.

Does anyone know the ratio of standard to premium with Japanese cars? It seems more got the Premium treatment then other manufacturers around the world most of which have huge swathes of standard cars. It kinda sucks that some manufacturers only have standard cars in the whole lineup.

It's a joke!!! Where are all the coolest hot-hatches???? No new Focus RS, Megane R26 or R26R, Clio RS 200, 500 Abarth, VW Scirocco, Audi A5/S5, TTRS, Peugeot RCZ

Yes, that's very annoying. I thought there would at least be a Jetta or Golf TDI... They have the ****ing Prius and Insight... Useless.

They do have the Audi R10 TDI and the Peugeot 908 which are both diesel powered. It's why the battle in LMP1 class in LeMans is always between Audi and Peugeot...no others can really compete.

Blimey, don't people ever like to whine? 1031 cars and still people aren't happy. "Wahhh, my favorite car isn't included", "wahhh, my favourite car is included but it's only a standard". Let's do some maths... I reckon if there were another four thousand vehicles, or varieties of, that might just be enough to shut people up, but only apparently if they were all premiums. So, 5000 premiums, 6 months to model each one at a conservative cost estimate of £20k per car and we arrive at the figure of £100,000,000. That folks, is why your old 1984 Fiat Strada Abarth 130tc mk2 (or whatever) does not appear in the list. Get a grip.
