Yeah, I mean I love GT5 and Forza and actually miss their graphically slick menus, music, and my large friends list. I actually think they look good too. But the triple screen setup is a pain, the hardware limitation is a pain, and like Latte said once you add motion and proper transducer effects they really are inferior.

At trade shows gt3 and gt4 had full motion (haven't seen gt5 with motion) and Forza still has motion. How much effort would it take to make that part of the full game.

It may not be a real money maker feature but triple screens probably isn't either. If Sega f355 challenge had motion you could guarantee Forza would have had motion because that is essentially the sole reason for Forza's triple screen support.

^^^Yup, they totally destroyed the game. Since last night I've completely taken PS3 out of the equation and moved a PS3 to three separate rooms in my home. Screw it. Just plain infuriates me. I really liked play GT5 but now its PC and Forza only.

Why don't you relax and wait for the next update? I'm pretty sure PD have caught the issue and will fix it. It only take one single variable in the coding to throw something off, crap happens.

Ibuycheap, the motion code was added at the trade show onto the dev 360s so while possible, that code will never be released on 360.

On the next gen of consoles its possible Dbox will be supported and it's been hinted that multi screen support will be added from one console.

Occasional racer I have decided to forgo console racing until PS4 and Xbox 720. I'm sure multi will be much more refined. :)

That would be great if consoles become real power machines capable of multi-screen support, I still think the next gen will have optional LAN interconnectivity to get the "optimal" res across all screens, that way they could stand a chance against PC GPU's in say... 2016.

I think Dbox could have a real chance of being supported, it's simple enough for developers to provide the option anyway.

Yes, I know that. More accurately, it was added by Turn 10 for the trade shows. I'm just saying the code was written already.

I think multi screen on a per console setup from the ground up seems pretty win win. (Ignoring attach rates likely being lower on consoles used for multiscreen that will likely be sold at a loss in the early years) Multiple copies of the game sold multiple consoles sold. It is really up to them to implement it in the development tools. Which will likely never happen on Sony.

Multi screen on single console seems unlikely. (Even though the original ps3 was supposed to have dual hdmi out.) While the hardware supports it it would create a divide in the platform for developers. This is similar to how some games support 3d and others don't. You essentially get to choose between ugly game with 3d or decent looking game without 3d. This would likely parallel multiple screen support on a single console.

Yeah everything lines up perfectly. For instance if I go into bumper cam everything looks lined up perfect. As soon as I go into cockpit mode, nothing lines up. The left screen is to small and half the rear view mirror is cut off. And on the right screen I have to overlap by one inch in order to get it lined up.

Yet go back to bumper cam and its ok with the projectors lined up like normal. The exterior car views have the same issue. Only bumper cam lines up correctly.

Never seen this and make me want to chuck consoles in the trash and just go with PC and my blending software. Very frustrating as it was working perfect before. It would be a shame to get rid of the switches.

thanks

Sorry.. late to the party..

But is it possible that you have the different consoles set to different cockpit views. What I mean, is one on "normal", and the others on "wide" or "extra wide?" That would explain why you only have the issues in cockpit mode.

Like I said, late to the party, so I apologize if this suggestion was already given.

The centre screen is the server and the side two are client, and the server controls those setting in game

Just an update on my side of things with this problem. Well some cars work fine and some don't, I don't have a list but 90% of the cars I've used today are fine.

Possible there is a patch, but sadly I have completely eliminated consoles from my setup. The consoles have now been dispersed around my home and their rack has been resourced for audio equipment somewhere else. R.I.P multi screen Forza and GT5. I'll see you on the flip side on Xbox 720 and PS4 with proper multi screen support.
