There is SO MUCH great music in this game. My 2 favorites are...

"Dark Line" by Satoshi Bando (Jazz)
"Casino Drive" by KEMMEI (Lounge Music) - LOVE that bass!!

What is the name of the song that plays when in GTauto? If I disable that song will another song play in it's place, or will it just be silent? I love the rest of the menu music though.

To be honest I like the GT3 and 4 soundtracks better. I miss my Van halen and Feeder.

I love the game's soundtrack mainly that one which is on the licenses (I really can't remember it's name) but there's just one I don't like (and I don't know the name too hehe) it's one which sounds a old disc broken

"Slow on the Uptake" by Satoshi Bando = G.O.A.T

I googled GT5 slow on the uptake, and found an old thread I made on here about the song. HA!

Weekend - Daisuke Kawai (Jazz)
PNAU - Baby ''Breakbot Remix'' (Dance/Electro)

Both are great to me 👍

I also like so much this one "Band Of Skulls-Patterns"

The one I told about there's on license is this: Pnau-Baby Breakbot Remix (youtube it) but I wasn't able to find it in the music player

I have Gt2 Sounds tracks and daft punk, basically i put them on my sounds menu, and gt5 is quite classic now.... nostagia

Ah Jebus, this OST is one of the best I've ever heard in a game--it does have a wide variety of genres, and it delivers the goods for each. I'm glad they finally got mainly jazz musicians to do the jazz, et cetera for the other genres--for example, Daisuke Kawai is an organist for the band that does music for Detective Conan (Japanese anime). I generally love the stuff that Yudai Satoh did, and "Smoker's Lament" (Ryo Sonoda) fits great. MAKOTO and KEMMEI are at their best as well--"Casino Drive" and "Back 2U" are great GT tracks.

@Organ-Donor: Choplin's "The Entertainer", quintessential ragtime piano chart. Bit of an odd selection, really--the regular music library would have worked fine enough for GT Auto.

I'm actually disappointed that the OST is only 2 disc, and only has the jazz content--I may very well have to rip the music off of YT to gt the full thing. One thing I haven't done yet is compare any of the music in GT5 to music from earlier in the series, to try and spot any similarities. It would only be reasonable to see if they did that.

--And Might Engine (Daisuke Kawai) reminds me of The Motorious Zone quite a bit.

I just wish we could replace that Chemical Castration crap in the second half of the opening movie - otherwise, the first thing I do in GT is turn off all in-game music.

Cars make their own music.

After hearing Planetary Go live at the VGAs I LOVE the song after hating it

You can actually hear the killer bassline live

For those unaware, Jeff Chen has compiled the entire soundtrack and you can find the files (.rar ; Megaupload) here in this YT entry. 3 parts, so it will take a while, but well worth it.

I am listening GT5 music here as i type :D

yes, Casino Drive is great !! makes me remember quentine tarantino's movies :D

two othe similar tracks with that one are:
"Feels So Good"
"Come With Me"

that bass has a strong characteristic

Sweet! I hadn't even heard those other two songs yet. Great music indeed.

Gonno's an artist I've been taking a liking to. Some very nice DnB electronica, very exciting for the senses and catchy as all heck. The three tracks in this game alone beat Escape Velocity with such ease, and I love that one as well!

[MCR PG live]

Well, it's a catchy enough pop song and, despite the fact I feel I've heard it before in other songs, it's not all that bad. The bassline, however, on account of the high likelihood that I could play it quite confidently live, is far from killer - although it does fit with the song overall. And I suppose the effecting is kinda "cool". :dopey:

Aside from that, I really love the soundtrack to this game, especially the jazz and lounge stuff. Not really given the electronica much time, so I might go and rectify that. :)

The Entertainer

They have such a great selection of music in this game. My favourite two songs are Undercover Martyn by Two Door Cinema Club and Penelope Pitstop by Breakbot.

I think a few of the songs are alright but I changed to my personal playlist after about a week. The only song that is really sticking out at me right now is the Devill 666 song, whatever its title is.

There is SO MUCH great music in this game.

Did you get some sort of special/collector's edition? I have the regular version of GT5 and it consists mainly of elevator music, Mister Rogers music, and whatever goofy bullcrap that is in GT Auto that might just as well be replaced with Hello Mudda Hello Fadda. That **** Buttons - The Lisbon Maru song rapes my ears with shrill, ungodly noise so horrid that it's the only song I know I bothered hunting down and toggling off. Then there's that one song with lyrics to the effect of "don't tell anyone", which always invokes the image of a man talking to a five-year-old about what they've done. Oh, how could I forget the one menu song with what sounds to me like vuvuzelas and at first when that noise started kicking in I thought my PS3 was eating my disc or something was happening to my hard drive.

I love the opening piano music!

Ah, what I keep referring to as "Mister Rogers".
