GT5 No Longer Counts Online Mileage

Well, I just finished a break in race of 20 laps at Daytona, yes a race, not free run, and I never gained HP or miles to my car I was breaking in. Anyone else had this issue? This has not happened to me before.

That actually sounds pretty odd, because I joined a free run Spa room with my new GT-R and after 20 laps and quitting, odometer said 200+ km. Maybe it's a glitch.

I'm still aquiring miles and wearing out oil here. Broke in the engine for my Stealth GT-R yesterday after running 50+ laps at SPA.

Probably, you technically didn't finish the race so it didn't count the miles. Kind of like if you quit a race it won't count the miles.

Well it was a Camaro Z28 RM vs Enzos, Vipers, GT's and the like so I had no chance.

That's exactly why, you have to finish the race before the timer runs out, and the leaderboard with the results and times has to be displayed in order for the mileage to count, This has always been my biggest gripe with GT5 and I wish mileage counted for everything, no matter what. I made a thread about it a few months ago.

Yes mileage should count for everything. That's a IRL thing right there that needs to be fixed. Bah.

Doesn't it save after a race? Maybe that is why it counts. Look and see, I was thinking if you don't have winnings it souldn't save?

You always get the winnings as long as you participate in the race and don't quit before it ends, even if you don't finish the race.

The host probably didn't have tire wear/fuel consumption on. It is off by default now since the update. I did this very thing for like 6 11 lap races at Daytona and nobody's cars were breaking in just like you are saying. I checked the room settings and sure enough it was off. Turned it on and problem solved.

Ok, don't know what else it could be then as other than that one time, I haven't had that problem. All of my miles are counted and cars break in just fine.

My miles count too, I do occasionally get an fault with the system though.

I'm sorry, but I've never known online mileage to be accurate. And honestly, online racing is all I do. It has always been my experience that it added some miles, but not accurately as many as you raced. I'll have to do some more testing.
