I find the career mode in GT5 so much better, the fact it had B-Spec (hopefully they will add it to GT6) and the way you leveled up to level 40 was alot funner, it made the game last much longer, i've been playing gt6 for about 5days now, and nearly completed every race and missions, i'm kinda dissapointed

i've personally found GT6 better, mind you i played GT5 at launch and to be fair it was a bit of a mess and managed to grind to the end before the patch hahaha.

GT6 whilst shorter, does not necessarily mean worse im fairly enjoying the usual aspects that i care more about in GT like tuning :)

I think GT6 is much better in career mode than was GT5. GT5 had that horrible exp system that required you to drive race after race after race over and over and over again just to unlock the next race. The seasonals helped a lot but the repeatable ones did not come around until well after I stopped playing.

The races in GT5 all allowed you to use RS tires and pretty much any car so they were way to easy, The B-Spec did at least have some tire restrictions but still you could overpower the AI cars with ease and let Bob win pretty much every race only a very few were even the tiniest bit hard.

GT6 scrapped the XP system and that alone makes it better, There is no separate B-Spec career which is also better. The races have restrictions on both tires and PP which is again better and also gives you a better idea what car you should run and what tires you should use to get a decent race on the first try.

I never made it to the 24 hour races in GT5 simply because I was sick of trying to get enough XP to unlock them and honestly they are usually quite boring anyway. I ran them in GT4 usually had the lead within 2-4 laps and from there on it was just a matter of driving around the track over and over and over again with no challenge at all other than trying to stay awake and the motivation of can I lap the AI more times than my friend did.

The 24 minutes races in GT6 may not take nearly as long but they are much more fun and you can always do them 60 times each if you like ;) That would be more challenging than a single 24 hour race and not nearly as boring.

Definitely GT6 :
- with the much improved physics engine.
- all cars being in the dealership(and not having to wait and cycle through used cars dealership to find the one you
want/need.
- better career mode(IMO).
- quicker/faster load times.
- quick access to all your cars via Start Menu button for choosing cars and settings.
etc,etc,etc...
PD had to improve on GT5 otherwise it would not be a sequel and they've done a pretty good job at that.
I think GT6 is great and a worthy successor to GT5(IMO).
Now we wait for GT7 on the PS4   :sly: :dopey: 👍 :gtpflag:

yeah, i agree with what your saying alot actually, the one thig that has disappointed me with GT6 though, is that you cant use the Red bulls in any event at all, ok, its common sense not to let you use them in any of the starter events, but they could of atleast maybe let you use it in the super event, i aint quite at the super event yet but ive been told you cant use them, only in arcade mode can they be used :( i wouldnt of spent 6000000 on one if i knew that!

I feel as if there were certain events in gt5 I could zoom to and complete quickly to get cash, including the "LTW" at Indy, but in GT 6 it all seems a bit extended. I find it depressing I need to get stars to advance, where it can't just do one race and boost my exp gains to 200%. The grind to me was only made longer, and I feel that is why I'm a bit negligent to play the career anymore, but rather rely on online events with good racers and fun events...

There's just not a factor that is pulling me into the career like Gt5 did where I constantly wanted to do some of the endurance races, but not anymore...

GT6 career mode is better by a mile....

GT5 felt like a chore, while GT6 they're FUN. And some of them are just pure beautiful. like I remember the first day I got GT6 I raced on this one career event where you were on Brands Hatch during sunset and I got shivers.. it just felt so good then and it was beautiful to look at.

Not to mention I hated the leveling system, there was NO point to it whatsoever. Stars > leveling

Yes, I played gt5 for along time, i really enjoyed the endurance races aswell, and it felt asif the career on it went on for so long, thats what kept me intrested, my goal was to reach both level 40 on a spec and b spec, which i finally managed after along time of playing it, it feels as if im just completing this career mode to quick and it just doesnt feel as fun, im not an online racer, i prefer sticking to offline so i cant see my time spent on this game being that long to be fair

Yeah, the way they've added in the new tracks and things are good, but levelling system beats stars for me anyday!

Basically that's what I'm getting as well. There was a returning factor that brought me back multiple times, where as I'm feeling that I'm forced to do this to do t his, then forced to do this to do this, then I have to...... It's such a drag to me honestly.

yeah I think this was the event. I was just in complete awe the whole race lol.
I was such a fool to judge PD for working on "stars and tessellations" before I played GT6 because I definitely feel like the sky plays a huge role into this games beauty & racing.

I find in GT6 they've added some great things like the Goodwood events, but i completed them within an hour, they weren't really that hard, the coffee breaks and missions aint great to be honest, they're only there to split up the racing, i suppose they're a little fun, but other than that, the game isn't what i'd like it to be in my opinion, dont think it'll be long till im back on gt5 haha, nevermind!

I thought the leveling system was crap. I beat most of the races and some endurance races including having all the cars that I wanted but once you get to level 35 it takes FOREVER to get to the next level and what is the point other than to be a completionist? I already beat mostly everything, I had no need to grind just to get a higher level. Also limiting what cars you could buy because of level was annoying.

Why would you use one of those rocket cars when the AI is driving a car that is going to be going 50-100 miles per hour slower than you? The only way i would use one would be if B-Spec were enabled and I could let Bob drive it because that way I would know he would win and I could just go watch tv.

The RB JR races are good, the other 2 that are yet to come will have faster ones so you will get your chance there but there is no way they should let you drive the X1 in any of the career events that are currently in the game nor even the FGT as they are just far to much car for the field of AI cars. Even the LMPs with a big turbo installed are to much.

I actually liked the GW events. It was similar to the ralleye events from 5 but better. I wish we could get seasonals as such that would be placed as DLC latter..

C'mon it's not even close. Look at GT5 at launch.

Absolutely horrible draft physics which were never fixed.
Five seconds of staring into the sky after car was bought.
Even worse, to completely tune the car it would take up to ten minutes.
Complete mess with car parts.
No pp system.
New original tracks were rubbish. Eiger. Cape. London. Madrid.
Unintuitive menu.
No multiplayer.

Only thing that I'm missing is Mercs on Nordschleife. Or any other thing/quest on that track. It was perfect tool for learning it.

Weeeelll I got the game a year later so I never had those issues... Not to say they weren't there, it is just my experience never had those issues. And I really don't see any problems to the GT6 a-spec really, but I don't expect to see major overhauls to it...

Why are you then comparing a year old GT5 to just released GT6?
Because it is how I interpreted both games. I would've preferred 5 to release as I played it, rather than the troubles it had to go through as people claim they dealt with in the beginning. It's my opinion between the two when I first started. It's not like I had micro-transactions to help me out, or a 300,000,000 credit glitch either (which I can rightfully say I haven't used either, but rather the 15 AE cars) but that's how the games both started for me.

Coming from a background of real cars, I am loving the fact that I can feel so much more through the wheel. When the front wheels of the car cook off, or are lacking traction, the wheel goes limp. The feedback has gotten a ton better.
