I've been wondering, how many of you would like more Prologue updates before the full game comes out? PD has to devote time and resources to updating Prologue, but time that could be spent on getting GT5 completed and released faster.

So the question is:

Would you like more GT5:P updates?

OR

Would you like no more updates so GT5 can be released faster?

Thoughts and comments are (obviously) appreciated.
 
Voted more updates.

This way pd can test new stuff and get feedback about it so that it can still be changed before the GT5 release.

Updates: new tracks (Nurburgring) - new cars not necessary + improved online.
 
I voted for more updates. That way the final game is determined on how well things are testing in Prologue. I want them to get the idiotic online right. I want them to rid of the Rubber Band Effect and I want gameplay to improve..shall I go on?
 
I voted no updates, but I meant after the planned one this fall, if they include proper online options and damage then leave it.

I 2nd that I would even pay money for it, like an add on pack or something like that
 
Updates or not, It wont hurry the GT5 release date up...
Besides GT5 will transfer most data from GT5P durr ;) so they dont waste time by doing updates, and they can always spot more mistakes with more updates. For example online play, or new car that has some glitch. Its good they update it constantly, so full GT5 will be more PURE!
 
I don't mind being used as a test bed. Bring on the updates !!!!!!!👍
 
Moe updates. That way PD has more time to develop more things for GT5 and perfect it. They can also test things in GT5:P
 
It looks like most people want more updates after the fall (spec-III?) update is released. Do you think they should be as extensive as the fall update or just minor things, like more cars and events?

With GT5 being planned for next year, and PD only doing major updates every 4-5 months or so, I can't really see them doing a spec-IV-type update before the full game is released. I would think that they would focus more on GT5 once they have updated the game. But, that's just my opinion.

I thought one of the ideas being tossed around at Polyphony was that Prologue could eventually be upgraded to GT5.
 
More updates! If i had a choice of either cars or tracks, I would take tracks first.

91hondawagon......doesn't it piss you off honda is not bringing current model year wagons to NA? I am a honda associate family member and I just bought an Audi A3 because of honda's choice not to bless us with the euro accord wagon. (sorryt for the side rant)

Yeah, but that would require a huge update. It would have to be many, many gigabytes, and I don't think that would be practical.

:lol: Nah, I'm just thankful that Honda made it as well as they did. It's a 1991, and it still runs great: hardly any maintenance, 22+ mpg, lots of interior space. I'll probably miss it when it's gone and I can't buy a new one, but it's a solid car.
 
That's a pretty one-sided response in the poll. Thanks to all who voted.

I would love to see regional unlock. Racing US and CA drivers is ok, but I would love to go up against all of you from the PAL region. It would make no sense if PD did not do this at some point, or at least enable it in private rooms.
 
Give it time:)it will happen. Sounds like they have a pretty fast group in PAL:tup:

Even if they had the option to upgrade prologue to GT5 I would still opt for buying the standalone game. I originally voted for no updates but after reading all these posts I would like to see updates.
 
i can live with the penalties, i hardly get any anyway. i just want the Nurburgring Nordschleife
 
I voted no updates beacause Polyphony Digital needs to focus all of it's availible resources on the final game, GT5. I for one did not buy a PS3 just to keep paying for idiotic update fees, just to then shell out 60 or 70 bucks on the final game. What is wrong with you people, do you want to play GT5 early next year or in 2012.

BTW. If there is going to be any single update then it had better be total penalty elimination. I cannot play the game with out pulling my hair out it's not my fault either it is the idiot AI that always ram into me and I get the penalty!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What update fees? All updates are free
 
Everyone knows theres an update coming this fall so this poll is moot.
 
If I was honest I didn't know which to vote for.

I would like to see an update containing more online features i.e private rooms but for actual game content I have mixed views. On the one hand I love going for laptimes and because London, HSR, Oval are pretty pointless I would love to see the Nurburgring added. However I wouldn't want to see any more tracks or cars added because this I feel would take some of the excitement away from the full release. Also alot really depends on when GT5 is actually going to be released. If the release date is going to be early 09 then im happy to carry on with Prologue as it is. If the release date is 2010 then I feel more content is going to be needed.
