Let's ask Mr. Yamauchi to add Mt. Haruna from Initial D in GT5! Available both downhill and uphill. In GT5 are missing only downhill tracks, and i remember i have saw a version of the course maker where you can made a 1 direction coure (rally style) i really love downhills races with underpowered cars. and since gt5 is a japanese game i'm really disappointed there are not touge courses and these kind of races are very popular in japan. SO! let's ask Mr. Yahauchi to made his masterpiece GT5 really complete!!

99th thread about this. Most probably not gonna happen because they are real life public roads and making a "racing" version of them would defeat the whole purpose.

If you want to play Initial D then right now you have 2 alternatives, both that you can find on google:
- Rfactor 1. Try the ae86 mod that has it (glass of water included) + download haruna + other touges.
- Official Initial D games. Plenty of them.

Bathurst is a public road, as is the Nurburgring, those got added just fine.

I can't see why real mountain passes couldn't be added.

However.. if it was my company and my money - I'd probably take the easier route of creating one from scratch. But that's me.

I dunno, maybe it could happen but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Also, you can find a thread dedicated to new track ideas Here

I'd love to see all Initial D touge tracks in Gran Turismo; but it's something we should ask for GT6 (cause for GT5 I think it's late now).

Ah...and don't forget AE86 Shuichi Shigeno PREMIUM version!

ciao compare

Nürburg acts as a toll road for safety and legal reasons, pass on the left, no racing + obey speed limits.

Isn't it still government property? I'm not familiar with the nitty details so I'm genuinely interested to learn, but it was my understanding that it was a public toll road as you said. Which wouldn't be any different to any other road I would have imagined.

Could the solution not be then to add galleries and make it look like a closed off road like a Rally Stage? during the NZ WRC we have semi main roads completely closed off and while plastic tape isn't exactly a weapon grade barrier it does make it a 'racing version' of a well traveled road.

I guess it's hard because we don't really know the rules govening it and who's say it is, but if you do please share because I love learning new things

The cycle course? I do quite like that and I'd adore to see it in GT5. But the OP seems to want a distinct downhill and uphill track. Any Touge course would be a lovely compromise in my eyes however.

EDIT: Also - thanks for stealing half an hour of my morning, not like I needed to sleep or anything haha

Not happening. Not even with a petition signed by a million people. I don't see PD adding more content in the near future, maybe they are already saving it for GT6...

IMO, we got lucky to get Motegi and Spa because, for some reason, I've started to think GT5 is the beta version of GT6...

La Sarthe consits of a public road + race track combined together for endurance race.

It is a racetrack, was built by manufacturers as a racetrack, and known world wide as a racetrack, but is set up as a toll road to allow people to get to drive it so easily. It's not a public road in the same way as my street or the British motorways are.

I would like to see some sort of point to point downhill course, that could be reversible to be uphill, maybe have one that does both as well. Doesn't necessarily have to be Mt. Haruna, any would be nice really. I have a question though, why can't we have Mt. Haruna in the game? Forza has Fujimi Kaido, which, if I remember correctly, is supposed to be the representation of Mt. Haruna. So why can't GT5 or GT6 have it? Because even with the barriers on it I thought it was a fun track back in Forza 1 (the only Forza I've played). It was also fun in GRiD, even though it had barriers. Besides, why can't PD just use those "yellow tape" barriers that they use for Eiger Nordwand? Just a thought.

the only course in gt5 that look like a touge is the eiger norwand. the only problem is since you go downhill you gotta go back uphill. and eiger norwand is very short. the closed touge track from best motoring is awesome.
i had already tried rfactor 1 with haruna mods but that was not satisfyin ad gt5 and i dont' have anymore a powerful pc near to my cockpit.
another solution that i have already mentioned is the one direction only tracks to make in the course maker that i'm sure i've seen in some pictures a year ago talkin about the spec 2.0 update features.
the course maker is good but there are only a few themes. tuscany is the best but the problem is that you can't control the fact that the course is goin randomly up and downhill. mount aso is another curious theme. it only goes uphill in the 1st sector and only for a few corners so i just do the track backwards do enjoy some downhill hairpins.

I'd pay a good fee to get a set of touge tracks from initial d, even better if it came with appropriate premium cars.

It's not for us do decide whether it's a good petition or not.

On a side note ... Pikes Peak :)
