1. The previous weeks winner will get to choose the week afters theme. The editing for each week will also be chosen by this person. They will also join the judges table for that week.

2. Only one entry allowed per week. It must be your own work, and never submited as an entry before.

3. Your entry must be marked with a "FINAL ENTRY" Preferably in red. It's just nice.

4. Your entries must be posted in either thumbnail or a preview linked to the full size. This preview should be approximately 400px on the longest side. If it is larger, it may not be judged.

5.For hosting your image we recommend the usage of a free image hosting service, such as ImageShack, Photobucket or Flickr

6. The judge cannot enter their own theme.

Hmm, this title could be taken two ways. I have an idea, I'l be back later to show it off (If it goes well anyway).

Final Entry

Wouldn't it be easier if it was a maximum of 500px? My flickr only has the options of 240 or 500 px.

Well, I don't use Flickr with any frequency so I wasn't sure what the options were - so sure, we'll update the rules match that. 500px it is.

Here is green on the track quite litterally.

HUGE preview pictures make me sad :(

srsly, small preview pictures benefit everyone.

I don't have to scroll half a page to see the next image but also your image is seen properly (and less frustratingly), because most people (who dont have 24" screens wont scroll horizontally just to see your image.

Also it won't be entered in the comp...

If I see huge pics my automatic reaction is to scroll as fast as I can past it.
Sorry if I am coming across as pretentious or whatever but it is very annoying (and i'm sure many others will agree.) You are not the only one, I know, but hopefully this post will help that number of people that do this to reduce.

Here is how:
Make 2 versions of your image.
One at full (or large scale, I generally don't go over 900px each way so that the whole image can be seen without having to zoom in and only partly see some of it at a time. And also so that when it is all in view you don't have the jagged edges that are caused if the image is larger than the view port)

Anyway. Once you have 2 versions one about 900px for a 'full' view and another no bigger than 400px-500px on the longest edge for a preview, find somewhere to upload them.
Then put them into your post like so:
HTML:

et voila everyone is happy.

Thank you for you time </rant>

Indeed. They make me sad as well.

I also find it strange they read the part of the rules to do with writing "Final Entry" in red, but not the part about the thumbnail...
