After months of playing GT5 online, I've noticed that there aren't alot of serious racing teams. "Why do we need raing teams on GT5 to begin with?" Well, it gives the game's community more life and more variety. If you are new to GT5 and need a group of people to race with, you can always find teams. Variety is great. GTP is good and all, but just having a game of just GTP will be pretty bland. I would like to see more racing teams on GT5. Hey, then maybe one of your teams can have an endurance race with our team. I understand that there are leagues but they aren't too serious. I'm looking for racing teams that have a tag in their name. Example: ADR_XCLUTCH, ADR_GEARS, ADR_LIMIT. Tags make you stand out in a way. Above all else, even teams that have these tags don't make rooms to make themselves more known.
I played Midnight Club LA for many years, and that game (before it died) had so many teams that stood out. Each team had a tag in their name and they made rooms daily and stood out. I love GT5 but if it had this in its community, then GT5 would be 10x better in my eyes. We need a more lively community and teams can make that happen.

I think the biggest reason you don't see a lot of club or team activity is the lack of LB, and a actual class system. So the effect of this on GT5 is that the game developed a very laid back and relaxed atmosphere.
 
In order to add a 'tag' you have to create a new PSN account, meaning a new GT5 game save, meaning starting all over in the game, or never having access to a car that costs over the 1M trade cap.

It's annoying enough as it is, just having a GTP_xxx account and trying to get the cars needed. Trying to be competitive online and wiping out your entire garage doesn't work so well.

If we could easily change our online names, I think you'd see a lot more tags.
 
why do you need a tag anyway? I would never make a new account because i wouldn't be able to trade a lot of the cars i might need to race. Plus i would have to level up again in order to drive some. Why can't you be in a legit team without a tag?
 
I later found out u can change the name of your account without having to make a new 1... Jus go tote xmb screen.. Go to users, then hit triangle, u should run into a screen that says " log out, automatic log in, delete (only if you are logged into the account you wat to delete), and lastly, info. Hit x an go into info.. U should
Be able to change your picture to a selected picture previously saved onto the ps3, and... Highlight your name then hit x... Then go from there to change it to what u want... Kinda suprised how something so easy is so hard to figure out... I didnt find this out until just recently

Sadly this only changes the user name on your PS3, not your PSN id (the name displayed when online)...

Hahaha alright i did not realise that since the online network is down... Hhaha what is the point then?
